The TRIATHLON is a three stage event consisting of a Swim, Bike and Run (at various distances).

The main distance events are

  • Sprint (normally 400-600m swim, 16-20k bike and 5-6k run) Olympic
  • 1500m swim, 40k Bike and 10k run,
  • Half Iron Man 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run
  • Full Iron Man 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run.

While typically held in swim - run - bike order, in cold climates and cold weather the events may be reordered to hold the swim last.
