Groupsets are classes of bicycle components built by the three major component manufacturers Shimano, Campagnolo, and SRAM (add the respective manufacturer tag as well). The three major component manufacturers – Shimano, Campagnolo, and SRAM – build several classes of components which are called groupsets. They are sets typically consisting of brakes, shifters, drivetrain, and hubs that are designed for certain price ranges and use cases.
