The value of both Belgian and world trade in goods declined from the previous year, partly due to falling prices for commodities such as oil and gas. 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗪𝗔𝗬 𝟭𝟲 - 𝟭𝟵 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 - 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟯 🇧🇪 🇳🇴   To kick-start the third and final day of the #BEmissionNOR, the traditional Success Stories Breakfast was organised, which allowed Belgian SMEs and their Norwegian partners to share their successful partnership with HRH Princess Astrid and the Ministers. During the official Signing Ceremony, no less than 18 agreements were signed between Belgian and Norwegian companies and academic institutions. Afterwards, HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium witnessed the Icebox challenge - an example of Belgium’s proficiency in sustainable construction. This activity was followed by an Invest Lunch promoting all what Belgium has to offer to Norwegian CEOs. At the end of the day, the BEmissionNOR came to an end. It was undoubtedly an enriching mission that lays the foundation for further cooperation and partnerships between Belgian and Norwegian companies and academic institutions. 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗪𝗔𝗬 𝟭𝟲 - 𝟭𝟵 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 - 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮 🇧🇪 🇳🇴   The second day of the #BEmissionNOR started with the Belgium - Norway Energy Summit at the Oslo Opera House where HRH Princess Astrid attended the seminar on Industrial Decarbonization. Afterwards, an official meeting with The Government Pension Fund Global was held at Norges Bank. HRH Princess Astrid attended the Energy Lunch in presence of HE Terje Aasland, Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy. The lunch aimed at highlighting how Belgium and Norway can join forces for a net-zero energy transition. An Elia scale model of Princess Elisabeth Island was exhibited and, last but not least, two agreements were signed: a Joint Statement on Energy Cooperation in the North Sea and an MoU on the laying and operation of a pipeline for transportation of CO2 from Belgium to Norway. In the afternoon, HRH Princess Astrid attended the Business and Human Right Panel Discussion at the Nobel Peace center, as well as the ICONS Summit on e-inclusive education, which is the third international e-learning conference powered by D-teach. The Belgian Official Reception welcomed approximately 650 guests at Sentralen and concluded the successful second day of the BEmissionNOR. 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗪𝗔𝗬 𝟭𝟲 - 𝟭𝟵 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 – 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭 🇧🇪 🇳🇴 On the first day of the #BEmissionNOR, HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium attended the Belgium & Norway Life Sciences Day, during which the future of health and biotech was explored. She also visited the Oslo Science City Innovation Ecosystem and participated in the traditional Power Lunch. In the afternoon, the famous Belgian know-how and technologies in the field of Equestrian were honoured with a jumping demonstration by the grand-daughter of King Harald V of Norway on a Belgian horse. Afterwards, an afternoon tea with the Crown Prince of Norway was held at the Royal Palace. This was followed by an event focussing on Belgian strawberries and other delicious Belgian products.
