When it comes to streaming video, the content pile is vast, and you've got the whole weekend to decide how you want to slice it. There are now too many shows and movies to choose from, spread across too many video-streaming services. We make it easy for you. Each week, we highlight the streaming content we're excited to watch or think you should binge. Fire up your media-streaming device of choice and start watching.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (Max)

For years, it was hard to conceive of a US-based Godzilla film, let alone one with Kong, let alone a team-up that would rule the box office. But that’s exactly what happened with this fourquel for the kaiju from earlier this year. Now, you can see the pink-tinged king of the monsters and his hairy buddy take on the bad guys on Max.

Bluey Minisodes (Disney+)

Whenever we think we no longer have Bluey, the good folks at Ludo Studio crank out something for us to enjoy on Disney+. This time, rather than regular-sized or extra-long episodes, kids and parents can enjoy seven extra-short adventures.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F (Netflix)

Thirty years ago, Detroit cop Axel Foley made his last trek to Beverly Hills. Now, Eddie Murphy’s back to the character that (along with Gumby and a few other things) made him a household name. The reviews are middling at best, but that won’t stop die-hard fans (even fans of Die Hard) from enjoying the proceedings.

Star Trek: Prodigy - Season 2 (Netflix)

Paramount+ shed this kid-oriented animated Star Trek spinoff to license elsewhere for extra cash. Netflix not only scooped up the first season, but it also gets to premiere the second one. You can tell it’s real Trek because Captain Janeway from Voyager figures prominently and now, so does the holographic doctor.

Land of Tanabata (Hulu)

When a mysterious floating dot can gouge a person or place out of existence, it’s a mystery that must be solved. Apparently by a student looking for his missing professor. This is a live-action version of Hitoshi Iwaaki's Tanabata no Kuni manga.

Space Cadet (Prime Video)

What if Legally Blonde was about an astronaut instead of a lawyer? That seems to be the premise here, as an unqualified bartender literally shoots for the moon.

Memory (Paramount+)

Jessica Chastain and Peter Sarsgaard star in this drama. He follows her home after they see each other at a high school reunion and their lives become intertwined.

Shark Week (Max, Hulu, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV Stream)

Next week is the 36th Shark Week, the annual marathon of shark-related content from Discovery Channel. You don’t need cable, however. All you need is Max or the live streaming services above, which you can always try with a free trial. The full schedule of shark content is here

Hulu has some shark-related special premieres this week as well, with titles like Attack of the Red Sea Sharks, Baby Sharks in the City, Shark Attack 360, Shark Beach with Anthony Mackie, or Supersized Sharks (to name just a few). If you want some foreign flair to your Shark Week, Netflix has sharks in the Seine in Under Paris.
