We often get asked what the difference is between hemp and marijuana – both are from the cannabis sativa plant.
Watch our short video to hear of the major differences between the two.

The first 28 days of an industrial hemp plant's life are fundamental in establishing a strong foundation for healthy growth and a successful harvest. By ensuring optimal conditions during germination, seedling, and early vegetative stages, we can promote vigorous development and robust plant health, leading to high-quality yields. As the plants continue their growth journey beyond the initial 28 days, careful management and monitoring remain essential to achieve the best possible results in the flowering and maturity stages, and this is the basis of Wandarra’s growth management system, proven in previous crop trials.

Our commitment to understanding GxExM (#Genotype x #Environment x #Management) remains at the forefront of our efforts, guiding our focus on heritability and selection pressure. We are dedicated to optimising #nutrient and plant density #management for each of our hemp varieties to adapt to diverse planting systems, such as row cropping. This makes our varieties an excellent choice for growers of many crops – e.g. corn, soybeans, mung beans, sugarcane, wheat, and more.
Check this video of commercial-scale planting operations at lower latitudes where we intend to test the adaptability of our varieties in regions traditionally less exposed to hemp cropping. For these areas, we concentrate on two of the four previously proposed hemp classes:
Intermediate Photoperiod Adapters (IPA): Highly adaptable across a range of photoperiods, suited for different growing conditions.
Biomass Maximisers (B Maxes): Optimised for high biomass production, essential for industrial uses.
We are excited to offer these #dual-purpose #hemp#varieties to the industry. We aim to provide #adaptable, #multipurpose#planting#seeds that cater to the needs of #growers across diverse regions.

🌿 Hemp for Horses! 🐴
Not only is hemp hurd used in horse stables for its soft and highly absorbent bedding properties but did you know that hemp seed and hemp seed oil:
🌾 Are highly digestible: With around 27% fibre in the hemp seed, comparable to copra meal, and very palatable, hemp is easily digested in the hind-gut of horses.
🌾 Provide cool energy: Offering 2.5 times more usable energy than protein or carbs, hemp is a great source of cool energy, preventing overheating.
🌾 Are free of phytoestrogens: Safe for all horses, hemp doesn’t interfere with hormonal balance.
🌾 Ease joint pain and inflammation: Natural anti-inflammatory properties help reduce joint pain and inflammation.
🌾 Improve skin, coat, and hoof health: Essential fatty acids contribute to shinier coats, healthier skin, and stronger hooves.
🌾 Are cost-effective for weight maintenance: Dense in calories, hemp helps horses maintain or gain weight efficiently.
🌾 Provide optimal plant-based nutrition: Hemp’s balanced nutrients and easy digestibility enhance overall health.
