Enriching the lives of Australians by providing safe, responsible means of mobility.

About us

Since its foundation in 1937, globally, Toyota has strived continuously to contribute to the sustainable development of society and the planet through its business operations. It’s a principle that we have continued since Toyota Australia started in 1963 and has helped to cement our position as Australia’s leading automotive company. Motor vehicles greatly expand the freedom of mobility, however, we recognise that they can also have an effect on our society and the environment. With this in mind, we listen carefully to our stakeholders as we pursue a business that works towards harmony with people, society, and the global environment. We are continuously innovating to develop vehicles that meet the needs of the market both now and into the future. Our research focuses on vehicles powered by a range of alternative fuels and vehicles with the potential for automated driving. Meanwhile we continue to work towards vehicles that are safe for everyone, and that maintain the standards of durability and reliability that people expect from the Toyota brand.

To mark this year’s annual NAIDOC Week, we had the privilege of welcoming Eddie Betts to the Toyota Centre Of Excellence. Eddie shared his inspiring life journey - from his early AFL days and the highs and lows of his footy career, to writing educational children's books that have since been adapted by Netflix. His powerful discussion on First Nations voices in media and leadership and the barriers faced by First Nations children, shed light on the important mission of the Eddie Betts Foundation. The theme for NAIDOC Week 2024, ‘Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud’, celebrates the strength and vitality of First Nations culture and identity. Find out about the The Eddie Betts Foundation here: https://lnkd.in/gPNvgzTw To learn more about how you can honour NAIDOC Week: https://www.naidoc.org.au/ #NAIDOC

  • As part of our 2024 Graduate Program, we recently welcomed a number of students to our Centre of Excellence. Three months into the 24-month program, it was an exciting day for the graduates to experience the Autodrome, where they got the thrill of driving our latest vehicles both off-road and around the track. The teammates also attended a Global Content training session to learn all about the Toyota Way. We’re proud to be supporting the next generation of automotive industry leaders. If you’re interested in the opportunity to have your own Oh What A Feeling moments, visit www.toyota.com.au/careers on 1 August 2024 to apply for TMCA’s 2025 Graduate Program.

"I am extremely proud of the way in which TMCA looks after its most important assets: its staff! The way in which we promote growth and give individuals the chance to learn something new while gaining a fresh perspective on roles really impresses me. It’s what's kept me at TMCA for 13 years now. My current title is Manager of Regional Franchise Development & Engagement, and my favourite thing about my role is the way in which my team supports the dealership network and, in turn, the customers. I learned a long time ago that if you have data to back up your thoughts, then speak up. Decisions on the business need to be made with input from all affected parties. Sometimes the perspective you have is based on what you know or have seen, and might not be widely known, so share it and be heard." – Jason

  • Today, we had the honour of welcoming SisterWorks Inc. to our head office as part of Refugee Week. Refugee Week is an annual event in Australia dedicated to raising awareness about refugees, highlighting the challenges they face, and celebrating the contributions they make to the Australian community. To show our support for the week, we invited SisterWorks to bring their store to life through a stall held in the Toyota office Bistro. The stall featured homewares, jewellery, food, and more. SisterWorks is a not-for-profit social enterprise that assists women who are refugees, asylum seekers, or migrants in improving their well-being and achieving economic empowerment. We thoroughly enjoyed their visit. If you’d like to support SisterWorks, please check out their online store: https://lnkd.in/dv7Z7nJ6 #RefugeeWeek #SisterWorks

  • At Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Limited, we are committed to driving reconciliation, and are proud to support Toyota Finance Australia in their First Nations community focused laptop initiative. As part of Toyota Finance's reconciliation action program, they are supporting remote First Nations schools with new laptops. Their first partner school is Luurpna Catholic School in the remote Wirrimanu Aboriginal Community in Western Australia, where over sixty laptops have been provided. It’s been fantastic to receive updates from the school Principal on the meaningful impact the laptops have made, in the classroom, with families at home and for the adult digital training programs run by the school. Toyota Finance are continuing to work on the ongoing expansion of the program and supporting other remote Indigenous community schools.

  • “My role is an interesting hybrid model, much like our cars, where I handle both Procurement and Legal functions. In Legal, I support launches of new vehicles, review agreements, and tackle regulatory issues, while in Procurement, I focus on executing strategies and negotiations. What I love most about my role is the diverse range of projects and stakeholders I get to engage with, fostering genuine friendships and enhancing interdisciplinary skills along the way. One of my proudest moments was leading the social/engagement team for the division during COVID times. I believe in challenging the status quo, maintaining integrity, and fostering diversity and inclusion. Looking forward, I'm excited to see the advancements in Toyota's vehicle range and innovative technologies, particularly in the mobility and hydrogen space.” - Ann F.
