Porsche is employing mixed-reality technology into product demonstrations, with the aim of creating an even more immersive and informative experience. A recent Technology workshop, focused on the all-electric Macan, saw groups of engineers and media, immersed in a three-dimensional environment, viewing virtual models in greater detail. From getting better insight into areas that were previously hidden in physical models to being able to better isolate certain parts, the mixed and virtual reality technology offers a level of detail and insight like that of a deep-dive technical slideshow coupled with the perspective and visual impact of a physical exhibit.
