Think Gen Z is like the rest? Think again. Discover why authenticity is no longer an option, it's a mandate. 👇 Gen Z isn't just another demographic. They're a loud wake-up call for brands and employers alike. Here's why authenticity and personalization aren't just nice-to-haves; they're essentials. 1. **Individual Value**: Gen Z doesn't just appreciate recognition - they expect it. To them, individuality isn’t a buzzword; it’s their identity. 2. **Tech-Savviness**: With information at their fingertips, Gen Z cuts through insincerity like a hot knife through butter. They seek brands and employers who are genuine and transparent. 3. **Purpose-Driven**: Meaning matters. Gen Z isn’t content with just any job or product; they’re on a quest for purpose. They want to know their work and choices leave a mark on the world. Research backs this up. According to a study by Dan Cable, Francesca Gino, and Brad Staats, companies that encourage self-expression see not just happier, but more engaged employees. And those focusing on personal rather than organizational identity? They boast a 250% increase in retention rates after seven months. The message is clear: Tailoring your approach to the individual needs and values of Gen Z isn't just beneficial; it's critical for future success. Let's start a conversation: How is your organization adapting to meet the demands of this new generation?

87% less likely to leave their job - the power of human connection in the workplace unveiled. Dive in to uncover more 👇 Imagine walking into your office, feeling that invisible thread of genuine connection weaving through every interaction, every nod, every smile. It's not just about tasks, deadlines, or meetings. It's the profound sense of belonging, of being part of something bigger, of being seen and valued not just as employees but as human beings. Why does this human connection in the workplace matter so immensely? Support Networks are our lifelines. They are not just about having someone to turn to when we hit a snag in a project. They're about having mentors who invest in our career development and personal growth, who see our potential even when we might not. Emotional Engagement goes beyond the surface. In a world where we often hide behind screens and emails, being genuinely cared for by employers and mentors makes all the difference. It's about feeling valued, heard, and respected. Community Belonging is our anchor. It's the difference between merely working for a company and feeling part of a collective mission. When we thrive in environments where we feel we belong, our work becomes more than just tasks; it becomes a testament to our shared values and goals. But don't just take our word for it. Research backs this up. Human connection in the workplace doesn't just feel good; it drives results. Higher job satisfaction, increased productivity, and significantly lower turnover rates are just the tip of the iceberg. Employees who feel connected to their workplace are 87% less likely to leave their job, according to insights from Gallup Poll and McKinsey. Yet, in the hustle of meeting targets and deadlines, it's easy to overlook the importance of fostering these connections. We must remind ourselves, and each other, to pause, reach out, and strengthen the ties that bind us not just as colleagues, but as a community. Let's start a conversation. Share a moment when a simple act of human connection made a difference in your work life. Because at the end of the day, it's these connections that fuel our collective success.

"Parting is such sweet sorrow"...AND in the professional world (i.e. when an employee leaves), it opens a gateway to unparalleled growth and reflection. Here are some reasons why: 1. **A Celebration of Growth** - Every departure marks the culmination of one's journey and the skills honed along the way. Saying 'farewell' not only acknowledges the contributions but celebrates the mutual growth experienced. It's a testament to the company's role in shaping careers and characters. 2. **Fostering a Positive Culture** - The manner in which an organisation bids adieu to its departing members sends a powerful message about its culture. A respectful farewell reinforces a culture of appreciation, respect, and professionalism. It shows current employees that their contributions will be honoured, no matter their path forward. 3. **The Power of Networking** - Today's colleague could be tomorrow's client, partner, or even a boomerang employee. Maintaining a positive relationship through a respectful farewell can turn former employees into lifelong allies and advocates for your brand. 4. **An Opportunity for Feedback** - Farewells provide a unique opportunity for exit interviews, offering candid insights that can be instrumental in organisational development. This feedback loop is crucial for continuous improvement and innovation. 5. **Closure and New Beginnings** - Proper goodbyes provide closure for both parties, allowing for a clean slate. It's about looking forward with optimism, not backward with regret. Embracing departures as a natural part of the professional lifecycle encourages a mindset of continuous evolution and adaptability. In essence, saying 'farewell' is not just a matter of courtesy but a strategic move towards building a resilient, forward-thinking, and cohesive community. Let's commit to celebrating every departure as much as we celebrate arrivals, for each plays a pivotal role in the tapestry of our corporate journey. (And if you need help transforming farewells into a meaningful, authentic and deeply 'human' part of your organisational culture, we'd love to help)

So cool! We just got ranked #3 out of the Top 7 Video Editing companies in Australia for 2024! If you're looking to show your employees how much they matter, we'd love to help you: - Say "Farewell" to a valuable employee who's retiring or moving on - "Welcome" new hires with a personalised video even before their first day - "Recognise" personal milestones and achievements in an authentic way (and more!) As our ranking shows - our product is VERY easy to use. By focusing on a very specific niche of employee recognition, we've been able to completely automate the editing process. Just click a button, and the video gets edited FOR YOU (with company branding, titles, music, transitions etc). DM me if you want to hear more! (And I realise that this feels more like a 'sales' post than my usual personal ones...but I also think it's cool to be able to share more about what we've built. I'm really excited about our work, and see the real human impact of our product - and I'm keen to help as many companies as possible bring authentic human connection into the core of their employee engagement strategy) Thanks for spreading the word!! #win

Just had a minor breakthrough moment…at a spin class 🚴♀️… I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. My accomplishment of the day was getting out of the house, into my workout clothes, and making it to Spin Society (no SoulCycle Inc. locations in Vancouver). Couldn’t push myself to work hard… Felt like a waste of a class… Until the final song. When the trainer said: 💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡 “This doesn’t need to be your *best*. Just make it your *strongest* for this moment” 💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡 My strongest for that moment was STRONG. As has been the rest of my day. 💪 Being ‘strong’ feels so much more achievable than being my ‘best’. ⏳ And focusing on each specific moment is wonderfully achievable and empowering. Here’s to making each moment of the rest of the day our strongest! 💪💪 #spin #lifelessons (Shoutout to ClassPass for making it so easy to book last minute classes)
