Danielle Johansen and I were introduced through common investors( thank you, Richard Moore) and it's been amazing to see Danielle’s journey. She has a deep understanding of the Australian fashion landscape, and I always walk away learning something new. We met on a crisp winter morning in Sydney at 7 AM, and I can now confirm that Harbour coffee 🍮 is the only Sydney coffee that comes close to our Melbourne chef-d'œuvre du café.     BCG has reported that B2B marketplaces have grown 5x faster than overall B2B e-commerce, 16% YoY to be precise. Massive… in context of the retail times. It was amazing to attend the #ANZMarketplaceSummit by NORA ~ National Online Retailers Association. We all tend to get buried under a mountain of work in our business every day, it's always very refreshing to meet industry leaders and understand the macro environment. The BCG X keynote was a highlight for me, watching David speak to the trends and predictions for the future. In my opinion, several key drivers fuel this growth 🤹♀️ Productivity: Digital platforms allow businesses to do more with less, improving productivity and enabling teams to focus on strategic initiatives rather than mundane tasks. “Can we launch a new category with our current team? Can we monitor merchandise performance more efficiently with our current resources? Can we collaborate more with our suppliers on marketing and comms without putting additional load on our buyers?” … are some of the questions I get from GMs. Mostly, the answer is Yes. 🛫 Instant Value: Today's B2B buyers don't have the time or patience to sit through hours of new tech training. They demand a B2C-like experience and want value from Day 1; convenient, efficient, and transparent. Digital tools cater to these expectations with user-friendly interfaces, B2B specific features, comprehensive product listings, and easy OTB tools. 📊 Data and Analytics: Advanced analytics enable businesses to make data-driven decisions, optimise inventory, and tailor their offerings to market demand.
