Today is the International Day of the Seafarer an opportunity to recognise the immense contribution made by #seafarers all over the world to help keep #globaltrade moving. As an island nation, Australia relies heavily on the #shipping industry and the hard work of seafarers to import goods we use every day in our homes and businesses, and to export Australian produce to the world. We were pleased to have the crews of the Chang Hang Hong Tu and the Rostella on hand at the Bulk Liquids Berth at Port Botany today to celebrate the occasion with some sweet treats! 🚢 ⚓ 🌏 🏗 #seafarerwelfare #ports #portoperations

NSW Ports is pleased to announce Project SABRE has claimed another award win, this time taking out the #Innovation Award at the 2024 Australian Logistics Council Awards in Melbourne tonight. A joint initiative with Patrick Terminals, Project SABRE integrated a world-first fully automated on-dock #rail terminal (AutoRail) with an automated straddle-operated (AutoStrad) #containerterminal at Port Botany, creating the world’s first fully automated container exchange on and off rail wagons. The new rail operations enable the terminal to handle up to 500,000 #TEU annually on rail, while also improving efficiency through reduced train turnaround times. Congratulations to all of tonight's winners and finalists. #portoperations #supplychain

The community garden at Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation is looking fresher than ever thanks to a grant from the NSW Ports Community Grants Program! The garden is used as part of the team's alternative learning program, while the long-term goal is to establish a farmers’ market. That will now be a whole lot easier with new greenhouses and a new decking area in the garden. Don't forget, applications for this year’s Community Grants Program close at 5pm this Sunday April 28!
