We would like to thank 🥂Engineers Australia for hosting ACO’s CPD webinar yesterday on Accessible Cable Enclosures Beneath Pavements. 🖥👨🏫 We are pleased to share that the webinar closed with 1,074 registrations.👏 We would like to thank our guest speaker, Colin Leek from Civil Sciences & Engineering. His presentation gave the audience an appreciation of the politics involved when incorporating services into pavements. Colin proposed a solution to achieving better coordination, planning and a fairer balance of power between stakeholders. These stakeholders are authorities that own the roads competing with those that own the utility services – sewer, stormwater power, gas, communications etc… Colin proposes a trench run where certain services can be shared e.g. combining water💦 and gas ➡If you missed this event, the recorded webinar is available via this link: 🎥https://lnkd.in/gwwg2bSf ➡To access ACO’s site on cable enclosures, click here https://lnkd.in/ggaAbhy ➡To access ACO’s site on access covers, click here https://lnkd.in/ggaAbhy #event #webinar #electrical #security #safety #compliance #australia #civilengineers #mechanical #cpd #mechanicalengineering #urbandesign

LDK Living Yarralumla Views, Amberfield, ACT🏪⛰🛤🏤👩🦽👴👴 Designers had to incorporate an underground tank to deal with stormwater runoff from the pavements and roofs. This would comprise a detention tank that would be quick and simple to assemble and enable easy access for inspection and cleaning. The tank would store and gradually release the stormwater runoff into the council’s downstream infrastructure. ➡To learn how ACO helped solve this problem: https://lnkd.in/gDBv3UGv ➡To learn about our free design services & software: https://lnkd.in/g3CC6-i ➡To learn about how ACO is helping the environment: https://lnkd.in/gMhcVZiw Thank you to Sellick Consultants Pty Ltd for specifying a sustainable solution. #underground #australiamade #sustainability #stormwatermanagement #pedestriansafety #retirmentvillage #construction #civilengineering #management #freeconsultation #ACT #AILA #EngineersAustralia

Failure to deal with runoff at the building line may result to damage to foundations, entranceways and floors, not to mention mould and costly repairs.🏥🏦🌧🌧🌧🌧 Here is an instance where the designer has got it right! ➡To read more about protecting buildings from stormwater visit https://lnkd.in/dR8n9hen #StormwaterManagement #australiamade #sustainability #Construction #BuildingSafety #RunoffControl #BuildingDesign #civilengineering #management #freeconsultation #sydney
It’s not always the biggest or even the most visible projects that demonstrate the benefits of correct product application. Here at Concord Hospital, buildings adjacent to the loading dock subjected to excessive standing water in rain events; existing pits were of insufficient capacity. A few weeks ago. ACO Slabdrain H200K was installed to the facade along both buildings. As you can see, in the middle of the next rain event The area is dry and safe for access. Multiple Gully Style pits below the downpipes ensure There are enough outlets for the drain to perform hydraulically. #stormwater #remedialconstruction #drainage #nswhealth
