The EHF Marketing GmbH is the marketing arm and subsidiary of the European Handball Federation. The company works closely with marketing and media partners as well as Europe’s leading clubs to release the full potential of handball on the international sports market. The EHF Marketing is responsible for the exploitation, organisation and promotion of the European club handball competitions including the EHF Champions League, EHF European League and EHF European Cup. The EHF Marketing GmbH is based in Vienna, Austria and the office now has a staff of more than 25 sports professionals from numerous European nations, working in the areas of marketing, sales, events, clubs and administration, implementation or content and media operations.

    We are setting new records off the court as digital and TV engagement for European handball reaches unprecedented levels in the 2023/24 season🚀 For the first time, the digital reach of the EHF Champions League ecosystem surpassed the 1-billion mark, generating over 45 million interactions along the way. The milestone was also reached courtesy of the EHF Champions League Instagram channel which acquired its 500,000th follower on the eve of the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 2024. TV numbers were equally on the rise for several markets with 38 official broadcasters and EHFTV bringing the action to living rooms worldwide. In the 2023/24 season also the EHF European League, the second-tier European Cup competition, further cemented its status within European club handball. At the end of May, the EHF Finals Men were played in Hamburg’s Barclays Arena, attracting more than 20,000 fans over the weekend.     David Szlezak stays Managing Director of EHF Marketing   The European Handball Federation has extended the contract with David Szlezak, Managing Director of EHF Marketing , for another four years until 30 June 2028. Since taking on the role in 2016, Szlezak has played a key role in enhancing the appeal of European club handball competitions. Initially responsible for 12 employees, the number has since doubled and he now leads a team of 25 people that works on the exploitation of the rights of the club competitions.     An unforgettable season ends at the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 2024 The Machineseeker EHF Champions League 2023/24 season culminated in a showdown on court, with Barça securing the title against Aalborg Håndbold. The TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 in Cologne was a resounding success, with a sold-out LANXESS arena hosting 19,750 passionate fans. Michael Wiederer, EHF President states: “For me, it is the 15th time in Cologne and my 25th EHF FINAL4 in Cologne and Budapest together - and I still love it. It is anything but an obligation. I am always excited to come here.” He adds, "We have long-standing, experienced, and enthusiastic partners in Cologne for whom the EHF FINAL4 has become their own event: the city of Cologne, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, LANXESS arena, and Stadionwelt. They all support the event, and for us as the European Handball Federation and EHF Marketing, it is like coming home every year." This year marked a significant milestone with the extension of our partnership with Cologne until 2029 and Machineseeker continuing as our title partner. Fans were treated to top-tier handball action that culminated in the crowning of a new champion of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League season 2023/24.
