Journey Planning
Planning your journey around Edinburgh has never been easier. You can view your location on the interactive map and plan a route to your desired location. You can tailor the results to your travel preferences and we'll show you the most practical routes to get you where you need to be.
Real-time Information
Stay up to date with all the latest information regarding bus and tram arrival and departure times. The interactive map shows every bus and tram stop around you with subsequent real-time information about services at the selected location.
Mobile Ticketing
Passengers can now purchase a number of ticket types all on the one app. The app will learn ticket purchase behaviour and can present suggestions for frequently purchased tickets. Make use of our handy filters and find the tickets you need whether you're travelling across the region, in the city or to the Airport.
Travel and Service Information
The new and updated app can give you live updates about travel and service information, such as delays and diversions. If a stop is selected on the app, passengers will get the most up to date service information regarding the routes that serve the selected stop. Passengers have the opportunity to turn on notifications to get the latest service information straight to their smartphone.

In my opinion this is a better app than the original one also have the option to purchase tickets
Truly awful. Lothian Buses - please get rid of this app
Clearly this app has been developed by someone who doesn’t use buses in Edinburgh, and has never looked at the existing Lothian Buses app. The existing app is great: when you open it, it shows you times for the closest bus stop - perfect if you’re in a rush. In this app, you have to hunt for the stop and open it - a real step backwards.
Worse than that though, if you want to save a favourite stop, you have to create an account and sign in. Why? What possible need is there for an account just to store your favourite stops? It seems like a needless invasion of privacy.
Lothian Buses, please get rid of this app.
It’s fine but the old app was far better
I don’t see what was needing to be replaced with the old app. The UI is much more cramped and less usable here, even things like no dark mode and no list of all the routes, and it’s less scannable. I think that the old app was such a gold standard in transit app design that this new app feels like such a let down. Why do we even need an integrated app for ticketing when the m tickets app was fine and most people just use taptapcap anyway?
Feels really pointless and a massive step down from the previous world class app.
