Airfoil allows the transmission of audio from different applications like iTunes or QuickTime Player to devices like AirPort Express, Apple TV and other computers within a local network.
The speakers provided by Airfoil can be used on MAC OS X, Windows and Linux. They can also be used on devices such as the iPhone and the iPod Touch. The playback is synchronized on all of the connected devices.

The way Airfoil works is very simple: firstly, you need to select the application that you wish to use as the audio source and, secondly, the devices that will receive the Airfoil signal.
Airfoil includes a video player that allows you to transmit audio from the sequence in the same way.
