I initially found Bob through his glowing Yelp reviews back in 2019, right after I'd moved into my 1902-built home. Coincidentally, my realtor who's been in biz for 30+ years recommended Bob to me when I asked her for a lead. I thought, what are the chances, of all the contractors in SF! A very good sign.

Turns out all the reviews and my realtor were spot on. Bob, Jesus, and their team consistently do a beautiful, thorough job for a fair price. I've been working with them on various projects over the past 5 years, including repairing, waterproofing & repainting the back (wood siding) and front (stucco) of the house, cleaning & sealing the front terrazzo steps, and repairing & staining the redwood back deck & stairs. It can take a few weeks or months for a job to begin, but once the work starts it finishes efficiently. Thus, Bob's team is best for those who prioritize stellar outcomes and can be flexible/patient with scheduling.

Every time, Bob, Jesus and co. do an impeccable, professional job. At this point, they've basically renovated my entire exterior. We feel so lucky to know a trusted contractor we can continue to work with over a long period of time to help us maintain a home that we feel proud of.

An added perk: Bob knows the best people in the community to recommend for jobs outside his scope, like roof repair and color consulting. He's also generously helped me with odd jobs as needed, like repairing a broken latch on a window, repairing & repainting a broken piece of wood on the side of my garage, fixing a broken doorbell, cleaning out the dryer vent, etc.

Bob knows what he's doing, a testament to his lifelong experience. More importantly, he's a conscientious, kind, honest individual, who understands the value of maintaining trust and building long-term relationships.

If you're lucky enough to be able to work with Bob, Jesus, and their team (they're very busy, no surprise) you'll have the pleasure of not only high-quality workmanship but also friendship with joyful, mindful individuals.

We hired bob, Jesus and team to deal with a leak in our bathroom. Jesus told us that we needed to repair our flooring because of the damage caused by the leak. We were onboard but told them to fix the leak before redoing the flooring. After spending $3K on flooring, the leak is still there and Jesus won't answer our calls.

I have called Jesus 20+ times to no avail. We will not be giving anymore business to Jesus and team and recommend that you don't either.

Bob and his team (Jesus, Wilbur, Chico, Alberto, Jose-swah) are the best problem solvers in the contracting business. They do high quality work for very competitive prices. Seriously amazing, spotless and effective work. If you're lucky enough to have Bob and his team come work on your house for any project, you are in great hands. I will definitely be having them back to do other work in our home!

Here's the details of our recent work: With the atmospheric river conditions causing massive amounts of rainfall this winter season, we had water issues in our garage space. I called many contractors to get consultations on what the problem was and what the solution would be, and got quotes to make sure I get the best offer. After my own research, I was able to get some ideas of what the best options were. Most contractors I met with gave very costly (and unnecessary) solutions and some weren't even able to find a solution.. and others were just not available (in time).

And then I found Bob through Yelp. The high reviews on his Yelp page peaked my interest, so I called him for a consultation. He came in with Jesus and they were VERY quick to figure out the issues. They gave me two primary recommendations that would be effective and affordable: sump pump and gutter fix. Did the work quickly and flawlessly. Amazing team.

Also, I appreciate the fun conversations I had with Bob, and him sharing his wisdom. I remember during the consultation I told him that I was very alarmed by the water issues and Bob put my mind at ease by saying, "don't be scared, be concerned" --to not be paralyzed by fear, and instead reframe the situation and solve it. Really appreciate his advice. And it's super cool that he is also a DJ and fisherman. What doesn't Bob do, haha.

Bob and his team are honest good people with very high standards in the quality of their work. They can solve for and fix any home issue. Bob also seems to have excellent connections in contracting, home fix, remodeling, etc business and industry. I recommend Bob to anyone who is in need of work in/on his/her home.

We hired Bob to fix some cracks in our exterior stucco and paint. He came highly recommended from a neighbor and he was better than we expected. His team was efficient and friendly, they only used high-quality materials (and they are happy to show you the difference between the "good stuff" and the "bad stuff"), and, most importantly, they do the job right the first time. There were a number of other fixes beyond painting that were on our list (new gutters, fixing issues with some trim boards, etc.). Bob fixed all of it at the same time. Bob is more than a painter, he and his team can do it all and they do it all right! The best thing I can say is that I don't even think about the areas he fixed anymore cause I know they did quality work. We will definitely use Bob and his team again.

Bob and crew installed our windows and painted the front of the house. He was great about returning calls and dealing with all the issues that came up with our old house.

I have hired Bob for multiple jobs. Painting as well as fixing a wooden stair structure. Bob does great, quality work. He is also a really nice guy.

I had a siding issue on my home & was told it was asbestos siding & would have to find a specialist to fix the loose siding pieces or remove & replace the siding. I immediately contacted Bob because he knows San Francisco homes better than anyone. I sent him a picture & he confirmed my siding is cement not asbestos & that it would be an easy fix vs. replacing the entire side. He also explained how it should be fixed & painted. I had 2 other people telling me it was asbestos. When I told them it wasn't they said they were just assuming/guessing. Once we pulled the loose pieces off we saw, yes they are cement. If it weren't for Bob's knowledge & expertise I would have spent a lot of time & money looking for an asbestos expert to remove perfectly good siding. No wonder he's one of the most sought out painters in SF. He knows his business.

I had used Bob for a small project in my rental; to replace a cracked window. At the time he was one of the only guys to respond quickly and follow-through. He also did good work.

I called him for a recommendation for an exterior house painter. He indicated he had a business with a friend and that they did water proofing and house painting, as well as light (non-licensed) construction. I asked him for an estimate. It was a little higher than another one I had gotten, but Bob made the point that his workers don't just paint over dry rot, old fixtures and damaged door frames.

I have a hundred year old house with a 10 year old paint job. I needed someone that had enough construction sense to replace old cornices and framing with new wood, and take off old clutter on the building.

True to his word, Bob's crew replaced the dry rotted areas, took off stuff that didn't belong there anymore, put on layers of sealer, primer and paint and my building looks amazing!!

Also, whether I called him at 7:30 am or pm, to my shock, he picked up the phone! He's a super nice guy with a seasoned crew, and a kind hearted soul, not to mention a great house painter. You can't go wrong with this guy.

We had another amazing project completed by Bob and his team. They restored and refreshed the front and sides of our house. Everything from patching stucco, replacing a wall (that was apparently just painted plywood!!!), new windows, new lighting, regrouting our front steps, and of course fresh paint..

Bob takes a look at the whole house and figures out where the trouble spots are. He has a lifetime of experience to pull from and it shows in the quality of his work and his attention to detail. He really seems capable of doing anything and has a person for every sub-specialty, should you need them. For this job, we also needed an electrician and a roofer to do a few small things, and both were able to show up and get the jobs done quickly.

I can't recommend Bob enough. Refer to the notes in my previous review about scheduling because they still hold, but he really is worth the wait.

In the 3x we've hired Bob for 3 separate waterproofing jobs over the last couple years we have been extremely satisfied (& grateful!) for Bob's insight & execution.

Like all quality contractors in the Bay Area, Bob is pretty busy. So don't get discouraged if it takes a while to schedule you in. Be nice, patient & persistent and he'll put you in his queue.
