Jose and his team did an incredible work in our house. We needed to update a very old fireplace and replace railing on the small balcony that was rotting.
Our previous contractor who did major remodel in my place gave extremely expensive quote, and Jose did the repairs for a very reasonable price. The quality of the job is excellent, they did repairs in 3 days total.
We will definitely use this company again. Highly recommend.

Jose is very responsive, knowable thorough, flexible. His workmanship is great, his prices are competitive and he is just a kind and trustworthy human. I am a women who owns several properties and often gets mansplained down to. He does non of this! Which goes a long way in my book. Gracias Jose.

Finally! Found a terrific, reliable, honest, and an overall nice contractor who is very knowledgeable and willing to work with you through any issue. I can't speak highly enough about Jose and his crew. They showed up on time, and worked diligently to get the task completed.

We hired Jose to paint our building, repair a wooden staircase, power wash, and repair/stain/seal our yard fence and deck. We were pleased from beginning to end.

Look no further--trust me on this! I discovered Jose and his team at JE Carpentry & Handy Man, and I can confidently say they're the best around. I needed someone to tackle a major overhaul on a 2-bed, 1-bath unit that was in dire shape. From walls that were a mess to pervasive smoke damage, it seemed like a daunting task. But then Jose stepped in. He provided a fair and honest quote to repair and repaint the apartment, address the significant kitchen damage, and more. Throughout the process, he was transparent and his crew was respectful. They've proven themselves to be reliable, skilled, and genuinely nice people. Jose will definitely be my first call for any future projects.

I needed a "handyman" to help me fix up some issues in a recently vacated 2/1 duplex. Searching for one on line can be very difficult as some web site or another is trying to lead you off into their little pocket to some inappropriate vendor/contractor. Jose of JE Carpentry sounded just right. It was not a huge contract: sanding and staining a teal deck, interior painting, repairing screens in a wood frame. Jose and his crew took care of my needs quickly and did an excellent job. I highly recommend him and will look to him the next time I need any such work done.

Jose is a lifesaver. I am a personal concierge and home project manager, and a client desperately needed several items done on an urgent timeline. Jose and his team tackled the complicated job of building and installing custom cabinets (partially original, partially new) after a major flood in our apartment, and we were blown away by their skill and professionalism! In addition to the cabinets, the team was able to expertly handle a variety of other jobs post-restoration, such as re-installing appliances, outlets, and doors; building custom drawers to match pieces that could no longer be purchased; and painting and installing baseboards. It was extremely convenient to hire one team with such varied expertise rather than juggling multiple different contractors. JE was fast and did great work. The clean up was good, and I trust him. His prices reflect his quality and speed.
Exterior work included Painting outdoor deck railing and stairs, rear wall, repair lighting, repair tile stairs, and roof and gutter maintenance.
Interior work included painting, replacing baseboard, sheetrock, wood trim, and many facets of a kitchen remodel.
Jose has had a full network to refer me to others when other services are needed.

Contacted Jose for a few small projects (replace a backdoor metal gate, replace the 3 step backyard staircase and repainting of the wood garage door after reviewing other reviews. Jose agreed to meet to provide an estimate but did not show up on the agreed upon time. I had to text Jose as he must have forgotten our appointment and agreed to show up later in the day. We agreed on the price for the projects and I also asked him to fill out the W9 form for our accountant. Jose agreed that he will have the W9 form at the start of the project. However, when the project started, there was no W9 form and he kept saying that he will have it by the end of the project. When the project was completed 3 1/2 days later, Jose still did not have the completed W9 form even though I have paid Jose in full for the work that was completed. It has now been 3 weeks and I still have not received the W9 from Jose even though I have tried to contact Jose almost every day and Jose will not even respond to my text or phone calls. I "DO NOT RECOMMEND" J E Carpentry & Handy Man for any projects as I do not think he is ethical as he does not want to provide me with the provided W9 form even though he agreed to it from the start.
