I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. After I put all my data on an external hard disk, I wiped my computer clean: I upgraded to Windows 10 without carrying any of my leftover data from Windows 7. Nothing is left, no programs or data, and I don't have a backup of my old installation either.
Unfortunately, I was dumb enough to believe that Office was somehow connected to my Windows 7 key and that it would somehow be carried over. Nope. When it said it would delete all data, it really meant all data. So my old Office key, which was the Office 365 version I believe, seems to be lost.
The PC is pretty old (bought 2013 I believe) and it was pre-installed with Windows 7, and Office too, I think. So I don't have any installation discs, the only thing I have is the Windows 7 Home Premium key that is on a sticker on the side of my PC. Is it possible to get my Office license out of it somehow?
