I have checked the FFmpeg documentation for concatenation, H.264, and H.265. As instructed, I have assembled pnglist.txt, containing lines like these:

I have combined what seem to be the required elements for a command that will string these 1920x1080 PNGs into a video:
ffmpeg -f concat -safe 0 -i pnglist.txt -c:v libx265 -preset slow -crf 22 -c:a aac -b:a 128k -c:a copy output.mkv
I don't have audio yet. I thought I might start by producing the video, and then re-run the command, with revisions when I've figured out what audio I want to add.
This command, and variations I've tried (e.g., deleting the audio parts), produce assorted errors. I seem to be misunderstanding something basic about concatenation in FFmpeg. How can I revise this command to concatenate these PNGs into an MKV?
