I did a clean install on my Windows 7 Acer laptop. The installation seemed to go all right, but it shows this error:
Windows Boot Manager
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
- Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
- Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
- Click "repair your computer."
If you don't have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
File: \windows\system32\winload.exe
Status: 0xc0000001
Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.
I have tried startup repair, which isn’t working.
Also another method, but you have to have 'bytes' in your registry. My RegBack
file has 0 bytes. Is that a cause for concern? I’m not sure what to do; could someone point me in the right direction?
