T-Mobile users thought they had a lifetime price lock?guess what happened ne

Anyone who wasn’t brainwashed by John Legere’s smoke and mirror show could have foreseen this coming. Read the fine print and there was always an exclusion to the price lock guarantee.

Unfortunately, people bought into the act and actually believe T-Mobile was “un-carrier”.

The only thing “un-carrier” left about T-Mobile is their lack of generators at most of their sites.

Apple pushes AI into ecosystem, boasts of satellites and RCS

More BS from Apple.

OpenAI = no thanks, I'll pass

They've already demonstrated time and time again that the Macintosh is now a 3rd-class citizen to them, by mostly dumping worthless iOS features into each macOS release and never fixing longstanding (think multi-decade) bugs.

Apple does not care about the Macintosh anymore. They just continue to pay lip service because that's what really started the company.

"Game Over"???

"Game Over" for X? OMG, THEY'RE GOING TO DIE! IT'S GAME OVER!

So X made conscious business decisions that made some gaming platforms decide not to play with them as they had in the past.

In what world does "making business decisions" turn into "GAME OVER!!!!"?

Oh, here we go:
quote:
While none of the three companies gave a reason as to why they dropped X integration, it's almost certainly related to the API tiers introduced soon after Elon Musk took over.

There are three API tiers, the highest level being 'Enterprise,' which offers commercial-level access for enterprise customers. It starts at $42,000 per month. Many developers who had been using the free API called the new free tier useless due to its limited post cap and functionality.
that's about as far from "GAME OVER!!!" as one can imagine.

You know, I remember not too long ago when Reddit made a similar business decision. Oh my, the screaming from the peanut gallery. Funny thing--that all went away in about a week. When was the last time you heard anything about Reddit's decision on their API?

NY?s ?SAFE For Kids Act?: A Lesson in How Not to Regulate The Internet [tech

The answer for kids moderation and age verification is simple. PARENTS
Parents control what their kids have access to. All any site needs to do is have a voluntary age system at signup and give options for parents to link to an admin control portal for the account. You give parents the options but it is up to parents to use it or enforce, not for the website or the government to enforce it.
Nothing needs to be banned, you just need to require that sites give PARENTS the option to be in control of what their kids account can see, only if the parents want to use it. You dont need to require scanning of IDs or proof, just make age system an honor system. Parents will create the kids account for them.

The sad part is when these states are trying to use "kids" as a reason to censor entire sites for all ages like they did in florida, texas, north carolina. They require scanning of adult IDs to give to these sites which is insane.
At least the NY bill is not requiring scanning of IDs as age verification like the crazy states are doing. It reads like they will allow the honor system approach to age verification which is the correct way to do it and they allow parent consent to get around the blocks.

I guess some people want the government to be the parents to their kids for them, want the government to censor the entire internet all because they cant be around their kids to pay attention to what their kids are doing on the cell phones they bought for their kids. People who want that are crazy.
