Article picture

[edit]

I fully support the use of this picture, especially since the man himself has given his leave for it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.2.185.171 (talk) 11:35, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the use of his portrait as this was requested for use by him on his official Twitter page.--81.109.107.157 (talk) 17:13, 3 January 2014 (UTC) Ona[reply]
The image must be clearly released under an acceptable free license by the copyright holder, see WP:IUP. Also, it is unlikely that a person would be the copyright holder of an image of themselves; the rights actually lie with the person who took that image (I can't find the original tweet but you can see an image of it here, and the picture is here, so people know what we're talking about). Saying that an image can be used for Wikipedia doesn't work because WP content can be reused anywhere, even for commercial purposes. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 21:48, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Important change

he should be described as a "man child" at the beginning. 201.252.110.230 (talk) 13:28, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Complement To Personal Life

[edit]

Despite being known for blocking many Twitter users who violates his rules, Kamiya's Twitter profile was shut down on October 16th, 2022, at 1:26 pm, but, around 2-3 minutes later after that, it was reactivated; and, at around 2:06 pm, it was shut down, again. 2804:14D:8E88:47EE:91B7:B7F3:6E5B:79B6 (talk) 18:20, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Cannolis (talk) 19:37, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"Kamiya's Twitter account was subsequently restricted and as of October 16, 2022 the account is inactive and no longer exists."
It's not true. A "reliable source" is his Twitter account. It's still active, he tweeted 9 hours ago (proof: https://twitter.com/PG_kamiya/status/1581812357902176257) , so how can this account be shut down if he can tweeet? SimplexPL (talk) 10:23, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hellena Taylor

[edit]

If the Hellena Taylor stuff should be on this page shouldn't it be under Controversies rather than Platinum Games? It's pretty much unrelated to him except that he decided to make a statement and argue about it on twitter. 2603:6011:5445:2300:0:0:0:2 (talk) 07:28, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Page Protection

[edit]

This page should probably become at least semi-protected, the Hellena Taylor controversy has been causing a lot of vandalism lately. Jack10848 (talk) 2:40, 19 October 2022 (CST)

[Prejudice/Bigotry/Xenophobia?] Discussion

[edit]

Is there a specific reason that this page is omitting the fact that he calls those who don't speak Japanese "insects"? There is plenty of proof he does this to English-speakers, especially Americans, but never to Japanese. It doesn't need to be it's own section, but in the same paragraph we talk about his twitter behavior this easily deserves a mention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:14A:8280:5E80:8DB:F101:7837:72B0 (talk) 19:33, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you can find good, reliable sources on it that treat his behavior as something worth discussing, maybe. RWall514 (talk) 19:58, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
His online persona and actions are documented in the “Online Presence” section. As for documentation of doing so, he’s been toxic to both English and Japanese people, and all the verified sources I’ve found do not make the distinction of the language of the people he’s blocked.
I don’t see any benefit to further elaborate what has been already succinctly documented. Jumballi (talk) 01:19, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
