Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology Fellowship

Training Patient-Centered Leaders in Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology

The Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Fellowship at Dell Medical School fully equips fellows to independently provide care as pediatric and adolescent gynecologists and act as consultants to pediatric surgeons, family practice providers and general pediatricians. Fellows learn to advocate and lead within the department and the surrounding community, all while promoting a welcoming and safe environment in which all patients, learners, faculty and staff have an equal opportunity to thrive. Graduates are eligible to obtain an American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology-focused practice designation.

Under the supervision and guidance of program faculty, trainees provide routine gynecologic care to children and adolescents 21-years-old and younger, as well as treatment for abnormalities of female development, puberty, minimally invasive surgery in children and other gynecologic disorders, such as adnexal masses.

Fellows train alongside a team of pediatric experts in addition to advanced practice providers, dietitians, social workers, child life specialists and more, providing unparalleled care for patients and their families every step of the way.

Fellows are trained to:

  • Manage common and uncommon conditions affecting the pediatric and adolescent gynecology population.
  • Apply surgical techniques to effectively treat children and adolescents with acquired and congenital gynecologic concerns.
  • Produce and disseminate a scholarly project that can be published or presented at a national meeting.
  • Educate pediatric and adolescent gynecology learners, including residents, students and faculty.
  • Serve the pediatric and adolescent population as both a physician and an advocate.

The Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology Fellowship is affiliated with Dell Med’s Department of Women’s Health.
