Update: I purchased the pillow a second time and used a bread carving knife to lower the height by an inch. it no longer hurts my neck.Old review:I paid $200 a couple years ago on a firm pillow from Tempur-pedic, but it was way too high to cradle my neck and way to heavy at almost 8 lbs. So I jumped at the chance to buy the same pillow in a 'medium'. Upon arrival I was disappointed to see this pillow was exactly the same as the 'firm' pillow I was trying to replace. So I returned.The cooling is however, the best of the best, so I will likely take an electric carving knife or similar and try to lower the stack height of the first 'firm' pillow and piece it back together with fabric glue, so it doesn't put me in the hospital LOL. Who has a neck that needs an 8 inch lift? A giant?Pease tempur pedic fix the stack-height and I will pay the $200 MSRP.

A few months ago I got a 3" mattress topper which I like. But it's making me sleep hot, especially my head and pillow. Constantly flipping the pillow all night. I've tried a few other "cooling" pillows, they stay cool for a bit, then it becomes unbearably hot. This pillow stays cool longer, then it feels a bit warm, but not hot. I also like the dual sided cooling gels = less flipping. Being a side sleeper, this one is quite lofty and cushy firm which gives my neck and head great support, but it's probably not a good choice for back or stomach sleepers. Is it worth the price? To me it is. This is the pillow I'm keeping.

I did love the pillow. Loved the dual sided cooling gel. It worked for me. It actually was more cold than cool which is great for a 55yo woman going thru menopause lol. Loved the comfort, whether it was on my back or side. My family hated it; said it was way too firm. It was great for me tho. After 22mo tho, it didn’t cool anymore. I had to keep flipping it over but no cool sensation from the gel like before. It has a 5yr warranty but I don’t even know if that’s covered because I didn’t look into it. I did order another pillow, same one. If it happens again within 5yrs, I’ll contact Tempurpedic and take it from there. Oh, there was no chemical smell at all; hope the second is same. The cover that comes with it does take some arm strength to get it back on after it’s been washed, but not a big deal. It held up to ALOT of washings over 2yrs and finally started to tear a bit. I tried a regular cotton pillow case but for me, it seemed to lessen the cooling effect. I would def recommend the pillow overall. It was a great $125 investment in the past 2yrs. Def feel like I got my monies worth.

I initially thought it was heavy/too firm and was going to be a too high of a loft for a petite older woman. I sleep hot and am a back sleeper/insomnia sufferer/lots of neck pain and headaches. First night I slept better than usual. I’m a couple nights into using this pillow and my headaches are less. Seems less hot also. Liking it so far. Any relieve received is worth the heavy price tag. I guess it is true—you get what you pay for..Hopefully things will continue to change for the better. If it does, I’ll be getting another for back up purposes. I do understand that a pillow can’t undo my health issues entirely—but some relieve from the symptoms is surely welcomed!

This Tempur-Pedic Cloud Breeze pillow is an excellent plush to medium firm queen size memory foam pillow with cooling gel inserts on both sides of the pillow. The Tempur-Pedic Cloud Breeze pillow is expensive, but it is worth the cost due to the high level quality design, quality material construction and overall features.

The pillow is very substantial and large, it is a standard square shape, it is not contoured at the edges. Pillow size is 27 x 19 x 6.4 inches and weight is 6.9 pounds. The pillow is very plush, cushioned, comfortable, pressure relieving and the cooling gel inserts keeps the pillow cool.

Standard Tempur-Pedic memory foam pillows tend to feel slightly warm during use. This pillow remains reasonably cool. The cooling gel inserts in the Cloud Breeze keep the pillow temperature cool during use and keeps the temperature on the head, neck and shoulders cool also.

This pillow provides a soft/medium to medium feel. The pillow has flexible cushioning and absorbs the weight of the head and shoulders. The pillow, after use, quickly returns to it's full size memory foam thickness and shape.

This pillow is not the standard high density solid memory foam of some of the Tempur-Pedic pillow line. Rather, it is a less rigid memory foam, it is more flexible. However, it is highly supportive and forms to the head, neck and shoulders.

The build quality of this pillow is excellent, the United Laboratories label shows that the memory foam is made in the United States, the pillow cover is made in China and assembly in the United States.
