These were easy to set up to my iPhone and fit perfectly in the two different (cheap) cases we bought for them. The small size is perfect for attaching to a medium-XL dog collar. So far the connection has been great but know that you can’t track it from a far distance. These seem to be legitimate Apple quality and brand.

tldr- This is perfect for those who tend to lose things and/or are forgetful of where they put things. It's also great for keeping track of your items when traveling.

Review:
I've got these tags in or on a lot of the important things I use every day. I don't necessarily always misplace items, but these tags give me a great comfort in knowing if I can't find it, I can at the very least try and track it. On a related note, these are also great when traveling. I can see if my bags are on the plane with me, stuck in an airport across the country/world, or moving away from me when it shouldn't be.

Our impression is that these last a few months and then have to be replaced. Hopefully Apple will come up with something more long-lived in the next generation of Air Tags.

These are the real McCoy, Genuine Apple Airtags. Amazon has them for less than Apple, but you won't get laser engraving at this price. The four pack is a good size and four Airtags is enough to track keys, wallet, backpack, and one piece of luggage. To use these, you'll need a newer iPhone with working Bluetooth to register, use, and track the Airtags using the "FindMy" app. You cannot use your PC, Android, or iCloud account; these don't work with Airtags. Airtrags are powered by CR2032's installed with a pull tab, so the battery isn't being drained while these sit in the warehouse. Smart looking, easy to use, highly accurate. You'll need to buy an Airtag holder of some kind and those are sold separately at a variety of prices. Apple has some really nice Airtag holders. Other vendors also sell holders, but be careful because here as elsewhere you will get what you pay for.

These were bought a placed in waterproof magnetic cases for various objects I wanted to keep track of. They work fairly well but obviously rely heavily on Bluetooth connections with Apple products. They would not be great for live tracking purposes, but they do send fairly recent updates depending on Bluetooth connections available so you could use them to find something "in time". There is no way to tell how often a position will come in, but they do come as long as they find a device to connect with in close proximity. (which doesn't have to be as close as you may think) 30-50 feet should do the trick. They do need a few seconds to connect so a quick pass-by of say a vehicle or something that doesn't stop for a little bit may or may not generate a position. I would recommend these for things you want to keep track of, but don't necessarily need to find it immediately. That being said, if they are near bluetooth apple products it COULD be used for live tracking as long as the bluetooth connection holds up. There is no subscription fee and the setup is simple. Due to no setup fee or subscription, I decided to buy them and they work good. Not great, but good for what they are designed to do.

In Apple's "Find My" app, to locate the AirTag is much easier than most other tracking devices. In additional to play sound, click on "Find" in the Find My app, it will show the distance od the AirTag from my iPhone and an arroe pointing to the direction I should be looking for. I can locate the AirTag much quicker than other tracking device.
More expensive than other tracking devices, considering the premium quality and ease of use, I highly recommend the Apple AirTag.
