Bought this to replace the older one I had for years from Brookstone, which was smaller so you had to place the phone on it just right in order for the pad to charge the phone. The charger's pad is much bigger so I can pretty much place my phone anywhere in the general vicinity of the center of the pad and it starts charging with no problem. I didn't notice any heat when I picked it up off the pad in the morning so I think we're good there. But the best past of this is there is no annoyingly bright LED light that borders the pad like so many other charging pads available. Maybe those work great but I charge my phone next to me on my nightstand and a bright light would keep me awake. I don't need my wireless charger to look like a UFO. This one has one very small light so it's not intrusive. Happy with the purchase.

I posted previously, saying the charger should be called a discharger, having failed after only 15 months. Well, I was wrong. The charger didn't fail, the wall adapter failed. As I began to pull the plug to toss the charger, it occurred to me to try a different plug adapter. The charger worked as it should, and has continued to work normally during the past several days. My apologies to Anker.

Not a bad charger, but underpowered for what I need. I run two cell phones that have wireless charging capability. I bought this primarily for travel charging. It works just fine, but the wireless charging is not even close to the speed of plugging my phone in to the power bank.
If you're planning to use it where your phone will sit on it for a while, this would be great. It has a low profile and is easy to transport. Much better than a couple of super small ones I've tried.
For putting a charge on your phone quickly (at an airport, on a plane, etc.) you're going to need to plug it in.
None of this is really a "defect" in the product, but simply a limitation of how the wireless charging works. From what I've seen, the bulk of the charger is proportional to the output. If the inherent limitations don't bother you, then this is a solid product.

Let me start by say that I love Anker products. They don’t have any business being as cheap and reliable for the price point. I have chargers and cords and battery banks, etc.

I bought this wireless charging pad after getting a paid for AirPod pros, and wanted to stop forgetting to charge them, which I would die to the size factor and not wanting to fumble with them every night. This pad worked perfect for that! Or at least, at first…
And I only use this pad for charging AirPods.

I’ve owned this product for almost 2 years and I’m just about over it. Some issues: 1. Things may have changed in the wireless technology, but in order for my AirPods to charge at all, they have to be RIGHT. IN. THE. CENTER. Of the pad, or else they don’t change. A few millimeters off to the side and I have a nearly dead charging case in the morning, as I just did not charge. To be fair, I’ve gotten very good at this issue and only about once every 60 days do I miss the mark. 2. The product makes my AirPods get WARM. This is also a hit or miss issue, but about twice a week, after leaving the AirPods sitting on the charger correctly all night, my AirPods case will be warm to the touch. I’ve noticed no ill effects from this, but it’s some thing that happens, and it even happens after leaving the AirPods on the change we for less time, and not overnight. And point 3. This one might be the deal breaker. I keep this pad next to me in my bedroom. I’ll listen to stuff using my AirPods before I go to sleep, and I usually will start my day using my AirPods to listen to news or social media as to not disturb my partner. This pad periodically, weather the AirPods are charging on it or not, makes a very faint, rhythm beeping noise. I can’t explain it other that it almost sounds rhythmic to a charging noise. At first it scared me, then I got used to it, but now I almost can’t stand it. Maybe it’s an issue, maybe it’s cause I use it right next to me, I’m not sure, but it’s been a potential breaking point

Not really much to say about the charger other than it works. You lay your phone on it and it charges. I will say, I've tried other wireless chargers and never had good luck with them until this one. The other ones I've tried would randomly stop charging, and other times it would charge all the way. The last one which was an ONN brand I bought from wal-mart about a month before this review was notorious for doing that. Some mornings I would wake up to 100% charge, others it would be 50% because it would stop in the middle of the night and tell me I needed to readjust the phone on the pad even though it never moved an inch.

I only bought this one because my wife has one that she's been using for a few years now and had solid luck with it for her Samsung Galaxy phone, even to this day. This thing is just as consistent as hers and never had a random disconnect with my Google Pixel 5 and that's even with a rather thick phone case on it.

I will say the charging time is a pinch longer than I would like compared to straight up plugging it in, but my charging port on my phone is getting wore out so I can't even rely on that each time I plug it in with the plug randomly disconnecting if it even wiggles in the slightest. I'm more than happy to have it charge a bit longer as long as it charges consistently every time and stays charging all the way to 100% which this Anker wireless charger does, each time I use it.

If I ever need wireless charging stuff, I think Anker will be my go to.
