I have used fire sticks for over a decade & needed to update mine for more storage capacity. The 4k is perfect.
It's an extremely easy set up & I love the new screen savers they use.
The synergy with my Alexa devices is particularly impressive, allowing for seamless voice commands to control viewing options.
I love the ambient mode..what a clever feature. It provides a serene backdrop that displays my schedule and to-dos when the screen is idle.
It is also easy to stream movies with this 4k stick from a home media server over windows networking (smb).
I am really surprised the Firestick's are not more popular.
You can also play console style games on it as well! I haven't tried that, but look forward to giving it a whirl.
I am very, very pleased with my decision to purchase this product,
I am also very pleased that Amazon designed a nice device with a good interface that integrates the streaming content into the main page. I love the voice control option theology the remote or I can use my Alexa to control it.
I like that the remote has the buttons for Netflix, prime, Disney & peacock as I use all of those apps.

Great Alternative to Standard TV OS
I purchased this because my TV is running Android TV and tends to have problems with lagging (both input and wifi) and things just not working.Pairing the stick with my TV was easy, except make sure to not make the mistake I did and change the volume when it is pairing. It will make you setup again.Pairing with my Echo Dot was easy but upsets me that I can't do everything I wanted to (some typical commands that don't work right or how I expected).Other than that, the quality is great. The wifi is fast and matches easy with my Amazon EERO wifi so it doesn't lag or buffer on videos. The remote is very responsive, and I expect it to stay that way. Installing and opening / logging into apps is very easy. The alexa button on the remote is sensitive to touch though, so make sure you finish speaking a second or two before you let go of the button.The picture is of my TV in the Fire TV ambient mode. It is nice to leave different sceneries displayed on my TV or photos that I choose.
