I bought the Hypervolt Go 2 as an addition to my aging Theragun G3Pro. I also have a Theragun Mini I use for travel and at work. I wanted to try the Hyperice brand since I'm hesitant to upgrade my Theragun Pro to one of Therabody's newer models. Therabody's Customer Support has not been very good and doesn't seem to get any better. It's a shame because they have some good products.I like the overall design of the Hypervolt Go 2 and the color is especially nice. Some of the cons with the design is having to press the power button for 2 seconds to turn on, and then again to power on to the 1st setting. I’m used to just turning on my Theragun Pro with just one press. Even the Mini, which requires a 2-3 second long press just powers on directly to the 1st setting. Also, due to the heavy vibration that transfers to where the power button is located, it takes extra pressure to turn off since your thumb or finger is fighting against the vibration. These are minor quibbles though.The two issues I have with this product are the material used for the attachments and one of user safety. The flat head attachment is made of very hard plastic. When it touches my bare skin and even with my workout clothes on it literally slaps it so hard that it stings and hurts. I’ve never had an issue of this type before. In fact, I always go for the highest setting for any attachment because I like lots of pressure and deep tissue massage. My Theraguns do not have a flat head but their attachments use a material that is a bit more pliable than the hard plastic. This only happens with the flat head attachment. The bullet attachment is fine.Speaking of the bullet attachment, not all is fine. There is a safety issue. Let me preface this by saying anytime you use a mechanical device on your body, you should always be aware and careful. I was using the bullet attachment while lounging in front of my iPad watching a video of using a massage gun on the length of my arm. I was relaxed and casually eyeing my arm and following the video. I was working on my right wrist with my palm up. The bullet attachment happened to slide over my wrist while I wasn’t looking. My skin got pinched in between where the bullet attaches to the gun. It was super painful! You can see in the attached photos what my skin looked like on the next day and the area of the massage gun where my skin got caught.Because of these two issues, I’m undecided on whether I want to keep or return this item. Even though I don’t foresee injuring myself again now that I know it can happen, I can’t really use the flat head attachment because it slaps my skin too hard.
