Today, we shine a spotlight on Nontando Kalipa, an HR Administrator in Bloemfontein, as she shares her journey from Trainee to a key team member. Nontando’s career with us began a year ago as a Pro-Star intern. She quickly progressed to the role of HR Administrator, now overseeing the Free State and Northern Cape regions. Nontando describes her career growth as empowering, boosting her confidence to tackle any challenge. She credits her manager, Almeri Etsebeth, for encouraging her to explore her talents and learn from her mistakes. Nontando’s advice to young professionals starting their careers is to work towards their goals every day by making small, consistent progress to achieve their aspirations. Our next Youth Month feature takes us to Eswatini. Nomalungelo Maluleka began her journey with Clover Eswatini in her early twenties. She started off as a Teleseller and is currently an Assistant Sales Representative. In her current role, she uses her experience to fulfill her goals and develop lasting relationships with clients. Nomalungelo acknowledges how she has been able to overcome obstacles with the help of her colleagues and senior management that continues to advise her through her career. The guidance from her Managing Director, Ronnie Egambaram has motivated her to further her studies in Sales. Noma's advice to young professionals is to be proactive, show initiative at work, and look for opportunities to develop. Accepting challenges can result in new prospects for growth, skill development, and personal development. This past week, Clover Better Care held its wellness week at our head office. The significance of placing a high priority on our mental, physical, and emotional well-being in both our personal and professional lives has been strongly emphasized. Each day was themed according to different topics of discussion, and employees were given the platform to ask questions and seek clarity where needed. Even our Clover Café menu was themed in accordance with the week. The week consisted of the following activities: - Financial budgeting tips - Health screenings and dietician consultations - Fitness and self-defense classes - Smoothie bike - Counselling sessions - Yoga and massages to close off the week Our internal communications app, HelloClover, ran exciting competitions for all employees who actively participated in the wellness week, and prizes were shared with all the winners.
