Petworth Fitness is a great community gym. Awesome trainers who take the time to get to know you and work with you at your fitness level (and help you modify for injuries), while also challenging you so you improve. Classes that always have a different workout to keep you on your toes. Fun and friendly regulars to get to know in classes and social events the gym puts on. I actually just moved, and one of the hardest parts was leaving this place! I'll be coming back from time to time.

I also just completed a Nutrition Challenge with the gym's nutrition coach and a team of gym/community members, and it was a great experience. Michelle is an awesome coach. She's very encouraging, available with helpful tips and answers to any questions to get you through the day, and she is also kind and doesn't let you be too hard on yourself! The challenge group has kept me accountable, and I've had great results: I'm feeling better and I've lost weight.

The people at Petworth Fitness are a pleasure to be around. This goes for both the coaches and the other gym members. The team is super easy going- I know I can go to them with any questions and they will happily help me out. They are supportive and fun to spend time with. I enjoy thinking of going to workout at the end of each day, which probably is not true for your average person going to a workout class. The team does a great job of individually onboarding new clients to help them get started. They explain the workouts well at the beginning of class, as to accommodate people of all experience levels. Otherwise, the space is great and is always clean and organized. I would highly recommend anyone in the area test out the gym.

I love this place! I've been a member for a little more than a year. The coaches are awesome, they have numerous class offerings, and I'm loving the results this place has pushed me to achieve.

I spent most of my first year in the FastFit program and I switched to CrossFit a couple of months ago. FastFit helped me lose a lot of unnecessary weight, I was in pretty bad shape when I started and I have to give that program a lot of credit for whipping me into decent shape. CrossFit is starting to get me into really good shape. This is my first and only experience with CrossFit, so I can't compare it to other Crossfit locations. I don't really feel the "intensity" that I read is associated with CrossFit. Everyone's friendly and workouts are easily adaptable to meet each member's abilities. The coaches have been patient and helpful as I've started each program as a total newbie. I have a lot of fun in the classes and the place definitely has a community vibe. Check them out!

I've been a member of Crossfit Petworth for over six months, and it's the best fitness experience I've ever had. I was hesitant to join Crossfit at first because I thought it would be "too intense" but after a great interaction with owner Alison at a Petworth community event, I decided to try it. Its location is perfect, as it's one of the only options for a gym in the Petworth area. So while proximity was my initial motivation, I stayed because of the highly personalized workouts that always push you to new levels of fitness, and the good energy from the staff and other members.

Fastfit is a perfect way to begin the Crossfit experience- after taking some Foundations classes to ensure you don't injure yourself, Fastfit focuses on high intensity cardio training, but with a good dose of strength training, which is perfect for someone that is looking to mix up their training regimen, i.e. runners or swimmers. And the Crossfit classes are also excellent- at every class, the trainers focus on tailoring the workouts for each person, as there are typically a variety of experience levels within a given class, so you don't have to feel silly if you can't do a pull-up just yet.

All of CFP's classes are capped at 12-16 people so you can ensure you're getting solid attention from the trainers who will help you with form and to push you to do your personal best. CFP is one of the best-kept secrets in town, but I don't think it'll stay that way for long.

I've been a member here for the better part of the last 8 years, and I can't imagine doing fitness any other way. I love the small classes where the coaches care about your form, and even notice if you haven't been to a class in a couple weeks. They also offer nutrition services. It wasn't until about the last year that I truly learned you can't exercise out a bad diet. After taking a few months off over the holidays, I participated in a six-week nutrition challenge to help me get back on track. Michelle, the nutrition coach, was great and super helpful. She was responsive to any questions, and always offered tips and encouragement. I've lost weight, and reinstated some of the healthy habits I was missing, and added a few new ones to keep me going too!

This place has been my favorite gym for years. It's friendly, welcoming and very LGBTQ friendly (although it could use a gender neutral bathroom). The coaches are great - thoughtful and good at modifying workouts for injuries/movements that just don't work for you for whatever reason. It's expensive but worth skipping some evening indulgences for - my partner and I call it our date night.

Joined in Feb 2017, this is my third CF gym and it's fantastic. Owner is super nice, trainers are top notch, Michelle is so attentive and personable ( her physique is motivation alone). Great space, friendly folks and convenient location. Great community, they throw BBQs in the warmer months, friends are welcome.

I have been a member of Crossfit petworth for 2 years and have loved every moment of it. This is the unicorn of Crossfit gyms as it's coaches and members are outstanding. They will push you to be the strongest person you can be physically and mentally. These coaches are talented and full of heart. They are great at modifying things to meet your level and your needs. It's the best decision I ever made. Give them a shot and be ready for your life to be changed for the better.
