Ridiculously large portion sizes, like the amount of noodles given could feed a horse. The flavor is pretty decent and I had the pan fried noodles and the beef curry. Was quite solid and would recommend.
I also got the Oreo smoothie and that was absolutely heavenly. 10/10 would recommend.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 717133310Aug 27, 2018
Mom and Pop's type of dessert shop.
I love how this is one of the few dessert spots in SF that is opened past midnight. The prices are relatively cheap and they have so many desserts. I do wish there were more pictures since some of the desserts like "Mango Delight" and "Mango Madness" are hard to distinguish what exactly goes in. Lots of yummy hot food dishes if you and your friends skipped dinner, etc. I got the fried bananas with ice cream and it was so good, hot crispy fried bananas with cold ice cream and some whipped cream for less than $7???? Tell me where else you could get that in SF. The only downside is that the tables are kind of sticky but besides that service is friendly, desserts and food are inexpensive and plentiful.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2483972050Jul 4, 2018

It's Independence Day everywhere, except for the owner and his employees. You can count on them to be open on most American holidays!
Cash only, so I ended up walking back home to pick up some $$.
Free WiFi!
Happy hour from 2:30-5:30; sesame egg puffs and most snacks are only $3-4 range.
Reiterating what others are saying, spacious seating for being in the avenues.
It's been many years since I've been back, the crowd has definitely changed. It's mostly older ladies and gentlemen sitting around to read their newspaper or chat haha.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 23, 2019
Found this on yelp cause Kowloons line was too long lol. Literally no one there when we came at 12:45am so my friends and I were a little worried. But good thing we found his place! We ordered the mango delight (pretty standard mango sago and mango bits, nothing to complain about but also $6) and the mango madness (surprisingly good. Mango pudding on the bottom, mango juice, mango bits and mango ice cream for like $6?). For some toasts, we tried the peanut butter French toast and it was good. Cheaper than most places by like a $1? The condensed milk and butter toast you can make at home lol. Lastly we also got the curry beef stew with radish. Good spice level, but the meat was weird. Overall I found a good new late night dessert place! I would recommend.

Tea time specials are a must! After my UCSF Dental appointment was over, I was starving preparing to venture out for some errands. But when my beloved Taco Bell/ KFC was closed for remodeling, I had to look elsewhere for grub. Low & behold this place came up in my radar. Great prices for tea time of 2pm to 5pm dine-in & yummy food. Also the server is a very friendly guy. My bill was under $10 but it's the food, cleanliness & warmth of the place that makes this place worthwhile. No wonder it's been around for so long

My Favorite Cafe is that one person that never gets recognition, but you know that they're always going to be there. My friends and I came here tonight to catch up over some dessert.
The menu changed visually, but they still have most, if not, all of their original menu items! We ordered the milk tea pudding with mixed fruit, mango delight, and the mixed fruit mango sundae.
The desserts were pretty good, but the presentation was even better! Definitely a good spot to just kick it with your friends.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lorenzo C.Rohnert Park, CA011Jan 9, 2020
Baked with the homies. This is a place you don't want to sleep on. My friends and I have dabbled with the menu and it truly never dissapoints. Just don't get to lit prior or do. Riley knows ^^.
Some of my favs sesame filled dumplings, Oreo Ice scream shake. Chimken sando is a life saver.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mallory L.North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA1887241544Apr 15, 2018
This place brings back so many memories for me. I used to come here every week, sometimes twice a week. It's a great place to hang out when you're not ready to go home yet. The prices are unbeatable. They have an extensive menu that far surpasses the one at Creations (or any other dessert spot I've visited). And, in my opinion, the food is pretty good.
The owner is awesome and I feel bad that business has slowed so much. However, that means there's always seating, so you should definitely pay this place a visit.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christopher L.Toronto, Canada7265452264Apr 6, 2020
Overall, it has a reasonably cheap price, but not the cheapest Hong Kong style cafe. It has all the classics and staple Cha Caan Teng foods and drinks that you can ask for. It's definitely one of the classic no frills place that serves great and affordable food and will satisfy any HK cafe craving if you have one.
We came here for happy hour at around 2:30pm on a Tuesday and we got a toast, an instant noodle dish, an egg sandwich and a drink all for around $10 or less - I don't quite remember anymore. But it was cheap! Also if you come during lunch or dinner hours it might be a bit more expensive since they have discounts if you go during the non busy hours.
The server who I think was the owner was pretty kind and spoke both English and Cantonese. There were a couple other older folks in the cafe, but overall it was very quiet. As expected out food came out lightning fast right after one another, so I did appreciate that a lot.
If I'm every nearby, and I'm craving some cheap and quick HK style cafe food, I'll definitely stop by here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
