I'd like to start and say, our weekend was fantastic. We started with a small hiccup at check in...not a problem, hiccup fixed in moments. We went down to the bar for happy hour. Service was fantastic. Our waitstaff was well versed on the menu and also made my SO an off the menu drink.
The sunset was fantastic. The room neat and accommodating.
All of our basic needs met with enthusiasm!
This review is absolutely a 5 star, don't misunderstand! My "to be addressed". The complimentary snacks and breakfast, were both readily accessible and presented beautifully...BUT they were not allergen friendly at all. The only resealed items at breakfast are cereal and hard boiled eggs. Every other item is served buffet style with the hopes that people use separate serving utensils. On day one when I pointed this out the breakfast attendant opened a fresh loaf of gf bread for me and provided unused utensils (thank you!). On day 2 there was a packaged udies muffin (which I took).
We were also approached by the concierge asking if there would be a different snack that I'd like. To which, the answer was no thank you.
All of the team was beyond friendly and attempted to resolve the allergy issue with the limited items they had. Thank you team.
Corporate representatives reading this, applaud them for their wonderful attitudes. And then please give them a few more options for the less common visitor. We do exist and are very grateful when we are also able to partake in a goodie or 2.
I feel the need to add an edit to this: apparently breakfast was included in the type of reservation we placed. If I had been paying out of pocket per meal I would have been far more disappointed in the breakfast situation.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

So hubby and I decided to do a midsummer "staycation" in the Valley. We chose this hotel because my dad had stayed there on a recent visit. I booked for one night and then changed to two the day before we checked in. Another interesting connection is that my office building happens to be right next door. So I was definitely curious to check out this place.
The hotel is very new and nice. The lobby is clean, large and well appointed (nicely decorated). The front desk staff were pretty friendly. I did have a problem where they couldn't find where I had added the second night, but they said they could accommodate the second night and in fact we would not have to switch rooms, which was nice.
The bar and restaurant area is quite stylish. More on the breakfast bar below.
Because I love to swim and I checked out pictures of the pool online and thought it looks very nice, my first order of business was to try it out. While it was outdoors, it did have nice shade umbrellas sprinkled throughout as well as a pergola-covered hot tub. Being it was 115 in the shade both days of our stay, I did not feel a need to get in the hot tub. But the pool was lovely. It was warm from the moment I stepped in--not sure if that was outside temp or it was heated or a combo of both--and stayed temperate throughout. It had a "deep end" in the middle, which I had never seen, and it only went down to five feet. I think a lot of newer pools are designed like that to help prevent drownings. It had six "waterfalls" (squirty water shooters), two on one side and four on the other with benches to sit on under them. It had steps to get in and out on all four sides. I couldn't do laps either day because there were so many kids and families in the pool, but I'm used to that at hotel pools. Mostly I just power-walked/did "water aerobics."
The room was well designed to make the best use of space and multi-task where possible. Like right when you enter the door there is a "closet" (open) off to the side that has two tall and skinny cabinets one with an ironing board and iron. In the middle is an upholstered bench with two "dresser drawers" below it where you could (and we did) sit to get dressed/undressed a couple times. It has a dorm fridge and coffeemaker also tucked into the nook. The only odd thing was no microwave. Almost every modern hotel even "discount" ones usually have a microwave in the rooms.
The TV was mounted on the wall and so were the nightstands, which were essentially two staggered shelves on each side. There was a narrow shelf below the TV that widened to a desk on one end. Very clever design.
It was quiet most of the time and definitely for sleeping at night. We did ask for a "quiet" spot so they placed us on sixth of the eight floors and toward the end of the hall. The bed was fairly comfortable and the bedding nice but it was one of those modern platform frames so no box springs. Luckily they had a couch with a chaise longue ottoman so I took to that both nights after my hips started to hurt. The room didn't keep temp to the 68 degrees we like for sleeping at home, but then again it was 110-115 outside the entire time we were there.
The views of the Gila River Indian Community Reservation and South Mountain to the west were to die for, and they had a big picture window on every floor at the elevators to enjoy the view. It was stunning at sunset in particular.
There was a wedding reception there the second night so lots of people dressed up in fancy clothes. They have a lot of meeting/party rooms, which is nice. They also have a very large workout room with tons of treadmills, weights, etc.
In the morning after our first night, we went downstairs to check out the breakfast situation. We had asked about it the night before and were told there was a breakfast buffet. We assumed it was like most hotels and was included with the price of the room. Nobody told us otherwise. But I noticed that my room keycard did not work on the tapper by the glass sliding doors to the breakfast room. A staff member standing there said nothing to explain the situation. However, there were lots of guests coming and going and after not too long someone came out so we just went in. Nobody corrected us. We enjoyed a hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy (nice that it was vegetarian as hubby is vegetarian and it had green chilies, which gave it a nice Southwest kick, not the standard sausage gravy), hot oatmeal with fixings, cold cereals, bread, bagels, muffins and danishes, yogurts, hardboiled eggs, juices, coffee, etc. In other words, pretty standard hotel breakfast fare. The second morning, however, we could not get in and there were a lot fewer people inside so we asked at the front desk. We were informed it was $30 extra. Oh wow! It was definitely not a $30 breakfast! So we just skipped it and checked out.
Would I stay here again? Probably, but I would go somewhere else for breakfast. But I would go again just for the pool!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I travel every week for work, and when I'm in Chandler I stay at the Marriott. Not sure why the ratings aren't higher.
Prices are great for a top tier property, and the beds are extremely comfortable. Great service at the front desk, and a 20% discount at Happy Hour (3-530).
M Club has wonky hours, and perhaps that throws some of the more astute travelers off, but the area is right near the 101/202
So you can get anywhere quickly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 27, 20241 check-in
M lounge was great. We have experience nicer offerings at other Marriotts but it was very convenient to have breakfast before my drive to Tucson. The location was not walkable in the heat to restaurants or shopping. You will need a car. The room was comfortable and the staff were all very friendly during my 2 night stay.

My wife and I came here for a quick overnight to get away from the kids. Great location! It was a quick 5-minute Uber ride to just about anywhere local. The views were nice too. This may be our go-to when it comes to a local place. Clean, friendly, and quiet. All things you want when you think of the opposite of children. =)

Stayed here while on business and felt it was a nice and clean hotel service was good and quick not to much stuff around but a lot within driving distance. Overall rooms were clean and comfortable staff was very friendly had dinner and appetizers at the bar area and all the food was very good and would definitely eat there again when in town. There was plenty of parking at this hotel and within a couple miles to several businesses overall had a nice time and no issues.

Marriott Phoenix Chandler was night #2 on Operation Polar Express, an epic trip where 6 adults and 3 littles travelled to the North Pole (aka Williams, AZ) via boarding the Polar Express to get handed a bell by Santa. I booked 3 rooms with 2 queen beds in each. The Marriott team were able to give us rooms right next to each other and made sure that each room key had access to the M Club.
We did have a drink at the lobby bar and this was a great experience. The bar staff was very attentive and it was a nice place to relax. The kids played magnetiles at one of our tables while we enjoyed our drinks; we also shared chip bags that were in these baskets behind the front desk for M Club Members.
Speaking of the M Club, we especially enjoyed breakfast here before we got on the road to Williams. They have one of those super fancy coffee machines and the breakfast buffet that they put out was nice...no complaints. In fact, how about some extra praise? It was packed at breakfast time and our group of 9 didn't have anywhere to sit. One of the M Club workers opened up the conference room for us to all sit together...that was incredibly nice.
Would I come back here? Absolutely! This was probably the nicest hotel night of our trip and it was very affordable. The bed was comfortable, the place was clean, the bar was nice and the M Club is an awesome perk. Oh and did I mention? Parking is free!

Not as pleased as I thought I would be. I'm close to being Marriott Platinum, so as you can see, Marriott is typically my preferred hotel brand. My room was large but very stark. No decor whatsoever. The bed was okay for comfort, but pillows were the worst - very cheap. I was going to still give a 4, but I went to the bar to get a glass of champagne and no was working. Wait staff would look around the corner, but no one came. Finally a manager walked by and said he would get someone, but after 10 minutes of waiting, I left. The front desk said I could order food from them, but no drinks until someone came in. I've never heard of such in a major brand hotel!

Carolene, we appreciate your detailed feedback. It's deeply regrettable that we fell short of your expectations, particularly in terms of our food and beverage responsiveness. Your experience isn't reflective of the standards we aim for, and we'll be sharing your insights with our Management Team for necessary improvements. We'd be grateful for another chance in the future to demonstrate our commitment to excellence.

I checked in on August 18, 2023 @ 2:45pm and will be checking out tomorrow (August 20, 2023). I scored a pretty good deal using my AAA card on the Marriott Bonvoy App for $99/night with my total being $199.00. Upon checking in I was informed a $50/night incidental charge so my total went to $299.00 which still isn't bad. This hotel was pretty busy being they have meeting & Convention rooms on property. As I stayed here I witness a lot of people wearing badges with the main convention room full of people which made sense to why the hotels in chandler was pretty much sold out.
I was put into room 621 which featured 2 Queen Beds overlooking at the beautiful mountains and somewhat green/yellow fields of chandler Arizona. The room also had high ceilings which you don't see often in any hotel rooms. As i usually stay at other branded Marriott hotels this stay was my first ever actual Marriott stay. What I loved the most was the shower heads you had a handheld as well as a mounted fixture. Just everything about this hotel made it worth the price per night. They even had a neat little spray next to the beds you can spray on your pillows before going to bed so you can sleep and wake up refresh & not drained.
Not only does this hotel had a convention center/ Meeting rooms on site they also had a Pool open from 7am-10pm, 24 hour fitness room. Starbucks open from 6am-10am, Restaurant & Bar as well open from 5pm-1am daily. Just everything about this Marriott literally made it worth not even leaving the hotel on this trip. Overall I highly recommend this Marriott to anyone looking for a hotel in the Chandler Area....Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - R B.Lower Chautauqua, Boulder, CO093Jan 19, 2024
THE SMELL!!
never in my life have i smelled a worse hotel. i had to have my room switched three times because the smell was so rancid! everything on the 5th floor is completely unlivable. the hallways are fine but the moment you walk through the door, you're hit in the nose, mouth, and eyes with the stench of raw sewage. incredibly disappointed.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
