We want to thank our clients for taking the time to write such excellent, thoughtful, and detailed reviews. We really appreciate it! Automotive service and repair has become increasingly complex, which means that in order to deliver the quality and value we pride ourselves in, we must specialize. We would rather be very strong in a small, defined area than be just okay in everything. We focus on VW and Audi. We have a long history in BMW as well. We have many clients with the "other car" they want us to take care of, and we will. If those vehicles have needs that are best handled by a specialist for that make, we can and will refer the owners to people we trust. We know and understand our limits. So, in a nutshell.. We care. Communication is key. Meticulous attention to detail. Only the best parts. 24 month/24K warranty. Limited shuttle service. Reasonable pricing structure. Check us out so we can prove it! In their defense though AUDI of Marin wants $466.31.
I'm doing it myself from now on.

I'm picky about who works on my car because I really like my car. I've tried other shops, including that one-big-Audi-shop-who-shall-not-be-named. Mark's shop beats them at all levels. This is the go-to Audi shop in Marin. Fast, honest, straightforward, locally owned, great work. Ten stars but I only got five.

I came upon Mark at Marin Motorsports just as I was in need of a major service. Mark is very responsive, provides very fair quotes and he's easy to talk to and a very genuine person.
We decide on a date/time when the service could be completed. Mark quoted me a fair price and told me my car would be ready by a certain time. Mark delivered on everything we chatted about and I now have my go to mechanic for my VW GTI.

I've been going to Marin Motorsports for years. I have an older Audi A3. They've always done great work and have been honest and have always balanced what could be done versus what should be done. I first went to them after being told I had to replace a $1000 part by another company. I took the car to Mark and Scott who told me I could go another 20,000 on it before it would need replacing. They could have milked it but they didn't. It's almost impossible to tell if your mechanic is always being honest but I feel like these guys are smart, honest, do great work and have been a pleasure to work with. This is the first time I've reviewed a business on Yelp and I'm doing it because they've earned my support.

I have been to five different BMW service locations including the dealers in SF and Marin over the past ten years, and these guys are just awesome all around. They do great work and look at issues from the customer's perspective-- "is it worth it to do this?" Highly recommend if you have a bimmer.
