Herd of Capybaras Strolling Perfectly in Line Like Soldiers Is Cracking People Up

There are some surprises that you really can never really anticipate. But we have to imagine that one woman in Brasilia, Brazil was so excited when she woke up in the middle of the night and found a line of Capybaras walking in a straight line down the road.

Thankfully, the woman grabbed her camera and recorded the incredible event. She then uploaded the clip to TikTok, where people were just as tickled.

Later shared online by ABC News, the footage shows not just one, but a whole group of Capybaras marching down the street one by one. If you've ever wondered if these little guys move fast...they certainly don't! Nope, there were at least 10 Capybaras sauntering down the street at a pretty leisurely pace. These guys were clearly not afraid to take their time.

"A herd of capybaras surprised a woman in Brasilia recently, as they walked in single file down the street outside her house," the caption reads.

Clearly this is the cutest thing that's ever happened. Commenters were just as obsessed as we are. "Alright lads. We are a quarter way into our march. Afterwards we can chill in a single spot for 24 hours," joked one person. "Oh to be a Capybara strolling down a Brazilian neighborhood," someone else teased. "Me and the boys on our way to CVS at 10 pm," kidded another commenter. "Reminds me of my coworkers lining up for the microwave at lunch time," someone else added.

Are Capybaras Dangerous?

Admittedly, there's not a huge chance that most of us will ever run into a Capybara outside of the zoo. But as this video proves, it is possible! If you were to run into a Capybara, should you run and hide? Well there's not really a lot to be scared of. These guys are as gentle as they are cute.

Capybaras are known for being friendly. They're herbivores, so mostly they consume grass and aquatic plants, and aren't really a threat to any animals. In fact, you could place a Capybara near a dog or a cat and they'd get along well.

This doesn't mean that Capybaras can't defend themselves, however. They have strong incisors and powerful jaws. When threatened, these cuties can get pretty darn vicious. You'll know when a Capybara is getting angry by their unique vocalizations, defensive postures, or if they start showing avoidance behaviors.

Overall, Capybaras are gentle little guys, who wouldn't hurt a fly. Although we could probably all tell that by their adorable night time walk.
