A freebase link can simply obtained by searching for the persons name on the Google homepage (in this example "tommy tiernan")
For the resulting page right-click on claim this knowledge panel and choose "copy link address" (in this example <nolink>https://posts.google.com/claim/?mid=/m/03gs9q</nolink>)
From the resulting URL the final part starting /m/ will be the ID, in this case/m/03gs9q if it starts /g/ it is instead a a googleknowledge graph ID
