Congratulations to the Ecology, Evolution & Conservation Biology (EECB) Outreach Committee (Michael Clyne, Jennifer Heppner, Leah Prescott, Ben Sonnenberg and Claire Williams) for receiving the Silver Paw Award sponsored by the Center for Student Engagement!
This award recognizes students and student groups who exhibit exemplary civic engagement. The EECB Outreach Committee is heavily engaged in a wide range of outreach education activities that have made science accessible to thousands of school children and community members. The committee works closely with Cynthia Scholl, the University of Nevada, Reno Natural History Museum, and multiple graduate students so that each event maximizes the community’s contact with active natural history-based research.
