FedEx, previously known as Federal Express, is one of the best-known and busiest companies in the world. It reportedly handles over 19 million packages and receives more than 125 million tracking requests a day.

Because of this, its name has become a permanent fixture in popular culture - even being used in the narrative for the film Castaway, which came out in 2000 and starred Tom Hanks.

Not only is the company used constantly by consumers, but it also has one of the most instantly recognizable logos in the world.

Since the first logo for the brand was created in 1973, it has been through three redesigns. But it was in 1994 that ArtCenter grad Lindon Leader came up with the legendary FedEx logo that we all know today. Since then it has won more than 30 awards for its design. However, even though most people would know the brand after just a quick look, it seems there's one element that has bypassed users for decades.

The negative space between the E and the X creates an arrow, and once seen can never be forgotten. Sharing the logo on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person wrote: "While sitting in traffic today, my daughter said she thought it was cool that the FedEx logo had an arrow in it. How did I never notice that before?"

"And it looks like that social media user wasn't the only one. Another person added: "Never actually seen it. It's like I am seeing it for the first time.

Someone else added: The @FedEx logo has a frickin arrow in it... wtf, why they hide it like that?" A third user penned: "I was today years old when I realised there is an arrow in the FedEx logo..."

While another fan wrote: "I had a customer tell me yesterday that there's an arrow in the FedEx logo. Once you see it, you'll never unsee it."
