Adidas Outdoor and Five Ten lines feature outdoor-ready footwear and apparel with next-gen technologies, providing not only comfort and functionality in the wilderness but also protecting those wild sanctuaries through sustainable production practices.

Sports footwear and apparel brands have established themselves as reliable sources for outdoor recreation and fitness gear, and it makes sense. If you’re an avid hiker, trail runner, or mountain biker, then you already know the importance of bridging the gap between comfort and performance. Adidas has been upping its game with footwear and apparel that work with you as you explore the world.

If you are one of those identified above, then you’re probably already aware that protecting the environment around us is imperative at this point. That’s why Adidas continues to manufacture gear through its partnership with Parley for the Oceans, adding to the small, simple steps we can take to save the world around us.

From trail running shoes made from recycled ocean plastics to tee fabrics spun from recycled polyester, the Adidas Outdoor collection produces apparel and footwear specific to hiking, trail running, and water sports, while the Five Ten line offers a great collection of outdoor essentials that encompasses all the gear you need for your next climbing or mountain biking exploration. Now, let’s get into the details of these sustainable textiles.

The Adidas Outdoor and Five Ten lines both utilize the Parley yarn — for example, the Terrex Two Parley Trail Running Shoes. The Parley Ocean Plastic textile was designed to turn ocean waste into high-performance sportswear. The plastic is collected through Parley’s cleanup operations in the coastal parts of the Maldives and then spun into a yarn knit for the upper construction of the shoe. Not only is it eco-innovation to the fullest, but it also makes for an insanely durable and comfortable shoe you can feel good about wearing.

The Climalite textile is one of Adidas’ most treasured creations. Its ability to wick moisture from your body and keep your temperature at optimal equilibrium is a big reason why athletes opt for this lightweight and comfortable material. Adidas went ahead and combined this technology with recycled polyester from the Parley partnership for some of its apparel pieces, including the travel-ready Tivid Tee and the high-performance Trail Short. The Five Ten line also offers specific options for climbers and mountain bikers, with some using the same stellar technological advances we mentioned above.

Adidas has plans to extend its dedication to cutting its plastic waste and limiting its carbon footprint throughout the next couple of years, with the goal of shifting to using 100% recycled polyester by 2024.

Audemars Piguet debuts trio of new Royal Oak models
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak black ceramic

Like peanut butter and jelly, most things come in pairs, but what about threes? It's a short list, with the likes of The Three Little Pigs, and the Three Musketeers, but not much else. Audemars Piguet clearly wants to change this as they've recently introduced a trio of Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked models.
Audemars Piguet: Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked models

The brand previously introduced a 37mm edition as well as several other 41mm models, and now their newest drop features 41mm models in steel, black ceramic, and 18K yellow gold, all with highly contrasted dials. They feature twin balance wheels, as the name would suggest, not only for precise timekeeping but also for aesthetic purposes — which these days are as important as the tech specs for prospective buyers. Although they weren't a pioneer in double balance mechanisms, Audemars Piguet took an innovative approach by arranging two balance wheels and hairsprings on a single axis, ensuring weight distribution.

The Breitling Avenger gets a refresh with these U.S. Navy inspired watches
These Breitling watches are fit for the Navy
Avenger Naval Academy watch

Fans of the Breitling brand will know that the Avenger collection is all about modern sleekness that rivals the classic and quieter watches from previous lines. And while the Avenger collection hasn’t been on the market for long, its contemporary details and features make it well worth it for any watch lover or collector. Inspired by all things aviation, the Avenger collection is a must-have for one who wants a sleek and robust timepiece. Although the current Avenger timepieces are enticing, the newest additions to the collection are also eye-catching. Overall, the Avenger collection pays respects to all things aviation and military. However, this time around, Breitling is paying homage to the U.S. Navy, and it is an incredible addition to the Avenger lineup.
Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission

For Breitling’s Navy-inspired tie-in, the brand has set forth three new timepieces that give a subtle nod to naval history. With three aptly named pieces, Naval Academy, USN Bloodhounds, and USN Dust Devils, the newest Avenger watches have a 44mm black ceramic case and Breitling’s B01 chronograph. With a 70-power reserve, the B01 chronograph is COSC-certified and has a column-wheel, and vertical clutch. A decidedly larger watch, there’s no doubt that not everyone will be a fan of the bigger size.

View of upper body wearing a tuxedo

It’s finally happened. For the first time, or the first time in a very long time, you’ve received an invitation with the words "black-tie attire," or "formal attire," engraved into that creamy white paper. Whether it’s a wedding, a charity gala, or a political reception, this is the one time when what has become an almost universal casual dress code is thrown out the window, and all those Society (with a capital S) rules from the 19th century kick in.
The host or hostess of a formal event has chosen to go this route because they want a very controlled, perfect event, so this is not the time to place yourself in the sartorial spotlight. We men actually get off pretty easy for formal events: Although we’re expected to be well-groomed, dressed appropriately, and on our best behavior, we don’t have to go to nearly the trouble that women do.
We’ve gathered all the tuxedo tips you’ll need to pull off your formal wardrobe for the day: we’ll leave you to learn all the rest of the proper comportment and etiquette that a truly formal event requires.
