Avoid the Overpriced Beer and Watch the Austin City Limits Music Festival Here Instead

Not everyone can take time off of work, spend a wheelbarrow of money on a ticket, fly out to the heart of Texas, and spend a few more wheelbarrows of money on delicious food and beer while watching live tunes at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Thankfully, you can still catch some the big acts from the comfort of your couch.

For the fourth year in a row, Red Bull TV is offering an ACL festival live stream — for free. That’s right, you can (virtually) attend the first weekend of ACL on October 6-8 (the physical fest continues for a second weekend on October 14-15).

Red Bull TV, along with hosts Sal Masekela and Hannah Radwill be streaming live performances from Red Hot Chili Peppers,  Gorillaz, Ryan Adams, Portugal. The Man, Run the Jewels, The Head and the Heart, Foster the People, Tove Lo, The Black Angels, A$AP Ferg, Angel Olsen, Cut Copy, and many more. You can peep the full Red Bull TV schedule here.

The ACL festival is celebrating its “sweet 16” this year. The Texas-born fest, which launched in 2002, was the by-product of the still popular PBS show Austin City Limits, a showcase of live musical performances from a variety of artists. While the festival was eventually taken over by production company C3 Presents — the same folks who run Lollapalooza in Chicago — both the fest and the television series are still going strong today. Other artists on the 2017 lineup (that you unfortunately have to see in person and not on  the live stream) include Jay-Z,  The Killers, Chance the Rapper, Ice Cube, Spoon, and Solange.

You can also stream the fest here starting at 12 pm PST all three days — Friday, October 6; Saturday, October 7; and Sunday, October 8. You can set a reminder with Red Bull TV so you don’t forget, as well as catch up on past years’ performances, interviews, and stories.

However, if you’re just itching to get into the action, ACL Fest still has a few single and three-day tickets available for weekend two (October 14-15).

Dexter: Original Sin: Everything we know so far
Dexter: Original Sin: Synopsis, cast, and more
Michael C. hall sitting in a chair on Dexter.

The folks over at Showtime can't resist giving us all of the Dexter we could possibly want (which makes sense, as it's one of the best shows on Paramount Plus). After bringing the character back for Dexter: New Blood, which gave the character the ending many felt he was robbed of at the end of the actual series, it seems we're now moving in the other direction.
