A Chinese-American businessman and blogger unpopular with the regime for his calls online for political reform has been arrested on charges of soliciting prostitutes and has had had his apparent confession broadcast on state TV. Charles Xue is a prominent online commentator in China, with upwards of 12m followers. The Communist Party in China has previously rounded up bloggers who allege government corruption
