PwC India, Google Cloud partner to enhance AI-powered security operations

Professional services provider PwC India and Google Cloud, tech giant Google’s cloud platform, have partnered for delivering Google Security Operations, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered SecOps platform, to organisations throughout India. This initiative is designed to address the nation's evolving threat landscape by leveraging frontline intelligence, expertise, and AI-driven technology.

This platform, which benefits from Google’s extensive visibility into the global threat landscape, is complemented by PwC's sophisticated security operations and specialised threat intelligence team, a joint statement by both partners said.

The partnership will empower security teams to defend against both current and emerging threats with increased speed and precision. The establishment of Google Cloud’s new Security Operations region in India ensures that customers can maintain data residency controls, a critical factor for security-conscious organisations.

On May 17, Google Cloud announced that it is launching its AI-powered security operations (SecOps) region in India to comply with the country's data localisation norms. This move allows enterprises in India to store their Google security operations customer data locally in the Mumbai region.
