Telecommunications giant Vodafone is reportedly set to announce a new carriage deal with the Spanish arm of international sports streaming service DAZN.

Vodafone is reportedly set to carry all three of DAZN’s available content tiers, without the need to purchase any additional packages, as part of its mobile offering from February 21 (tomorrow).

Among its top-tier sports rights, DAZN exclusively broadcasts five weekly matches from Spain’s top-tier LaLiga, having secured partial rights to the league in 2021 in a five-year contract, and also holds rights to the second-tier LaLiga 2.

Vodafone currently offers a sports-focused carriage plan, which includes LaLiga 2, through the company’s distribution deal with the LaLiga SmartBank TV broadcast service.

Adding DAZN to that, as well as its wide slate of channels that includes Eurosport 1 and 2, as well as the in-house media channels of popular Spanish soccer clubs Real Betis and Sevilla, would widen the scale of Vodafone’s sports carriage offerings, with DAZN also holding rights to popular motorsport and combat sport competitions.

DAZN’s base Esencial package will be available for €19.99 ($21.64), its Total package, which includes LaLiga, will be available for €29.99, and its women’s sport-focused Victoria package will start at €9.99.
