Gigya, a social media login app, released a study that found that Google+ continues to evolve and gained a rapid pace in the social media landscape; however, overall Facebook remained the dominant player in social login at the end of 2013. The social network still holds a slight majority of logins while most other networks remained relatively steady in their respective shares of social logins.
Facebook's lead in mobile logins slightly decreased in Q4 2013, losing 3% over the previous quarter. GooglePlus, meanwhile, gained 5 percent of logins while Twitter lost 3 percent. GooglePlus has made strong gains in mobile and will likely make progress in logins in 2014, as Android phone users in particular use their GooglePlus identities to log in and make purchases on native apps.
