There's no arguing that selfies have changed the way we communicate and share. The arrival of front-facing cameras on smartphones signaled the true beginning of selfie culture - but what you may not realize is just how significant selfies have become, and how much they're used in everyday life.
According to this new infographic from Frames Direct, Millennials will take around 25,000 selfies each during their lifetime. That seems like a crazy amount, but when you consider the way selfies are now used - from testing out new looks to checking your make-up and more - it does make some sense.
From a marketing perspective, brands can use this to their benefit, particularly with the arrival of sponsored augmented reality tools that users can apply to their selfies to alter their image. Digital masks as ads are available on both Facebook and Snapchat, and given the stats in the below infographic, they may well be worth a look for your business.
