A 60-year-old Pensacola man was killed and two U.S. Navy sailors were seriously injured early Saturday morning after a 19-year-old woman blew through a red traffic light and T-boned the sailors' vehicle, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

FHP says the 22-year-old and 28-year-old sailors were passengers in a Subaru operated as an Uber by the 60-year-old driver. The 19-year-old woman reportedly failed to observe the stop light at Gulf Beach Highway and Navy Boulevard and drove her Hyundai into the intersection.

"As a result, the front of the Hyundai collided with the right side of the Subaru," FHP said. "The driver of the Subaru was pronounced deceased at the scene."

Both sailors and the 19-year-old were hospitalized with serious injuries.

FHP says they notified U.S. Navy Command onboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, and FHP traffic homicide investigators have taken over the case.
