The Kardashev scale is a method of measuring a civilization's level of technological advancement, based on the amount of energy a civilization is able to use for communication. The scale has three designated categories: a Type I civilization โ€“ also called planetary civilization โ€“ can use and store energy which reaches its planetfrom the neighboring star, Type II can harness the energy of the entire star (the most popular hypothetic concept being the Dyson sphereโ€”a device which would encompass th Kardashev Scale Civilization, Dyson Sphere, Kardashev Scale, Interstellar Travel, Scale Image, Fermi Paradox, Technological Advancement, Science Fact, Canned Meat
