Everyday objects

Nobody I talk to under the age of 40 knows the work of Neil Winokur, which is odd in light of the 68-year-old photographer’s achievements: His work has been collected by the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the LA County Museum.

Many artists strive to find their signature style by creating new techniques, materials and concepts, but Italian artist Benedetto Demaio went for something more abstract. He chose to tie his work into one consistent body by incorporating a turquoise color scheme into every composition he does.

Belgian artist Louise Daneels makes 3D illustrative replicas of everyday objects to which we often give little thought beyond their functional uses.
