A series of rare photos of the Rev. Billy Graham made by LIFE photographers in the earliest days of the legendary evangelist's career.

I watched/photographed these short-haired Pat Boone clones gathering to pray for a guy sitting on the street in Chicago's theater district. I'm sure the Pat Boonies felt tremendously good for having asked that dead Jewish fella from Roman times to help out.
