Unlike a plastic card, an electronic SIM card does not burden the environment.

The activation process depends on your specific device.
Detailed activation process
eSIM card activation on an iPhone:
When activating an eSIM on your device, we recommend you follow your manufacturer’s instructions.
An eSIM is an embedded SIM, which is included in selected types of devices in the form of a chip. An eSIM card supports all the services that you are used to with a regular SIM card. You no longer need to insert anything into your phone, you just simply upload a so-called eSIM profile into your device. Simply get connected to the internet or Wi‑Fi and prepare an eVoucher from O2, where you can find your QR code, PIN and PUK.
You can have two SIM cards active in one device at the same time. If your phone supports a plastic SIM card as well as an eSIM (iPhone from the XS model), it enables you to use both types at the same time. It means that you can have both your company and private number on the same device or you can use a tariff for calls and for data.
Visit your device manufacturer’s websites to find out if your phone supports an eSIM.
eVoucher is a voucher, where you can find your QR code, PIN, PUK, and the most important contacts in O2. It enables you do upload your eSIM profile onto your device.
You can get an eVoucher at all O2 Shops, where our O2 Gurus will be happy to help you activate it. If you are our customer, you can order your eVoucher in My O2. Simply choose the most comfortable delivery address – at home or at your office.
Simply said, an eSIM profile is a collection of data that ensures your device functionality (in other cases this information is carried by a plastic SIM card). An eSIM profile is digitally saved on your eSIM card. It is connected to your phone number and your tariff is selected on it.
If you delete your eSIM profile from the settings in your phone by mistake, you can upload it to your device again using your original eVoucher. That’s where you can find your QR code.
Don’t forget:
If you need to get your device serviced, delete your eSIM profile from your phone. To delete it, you need to be connected to a Wi‑Fi network. If you encounter a problem when deleting your profile, simply visit an O2 Shop, where our O2 Gurus will be happy to help you.
If you manage to erase your eSIM profile from your faulty phone, you can use your current eVoucher to upload it again on a new device supporting an eSIM. If your back up device does not support an eSIM or you haven’t managed to erase your eSIM profile from the faulty device, your SIM card needs to be replaced (plastic or eVoucher).
The process is the same as if you lost your plastic SIM card:
Call the O2 Guru line at 800 02 02 02 and block your phone number as soon as possible. Then stop by at an O2 Shop and get a new eVoucher, which you can upload again on your new device. You can also order your eVoucher in Moje O2.
You can upload more eSIM profiles on your eSIM – for example one tariff for calls and a second one for data. The specific number depends on the capacity of the built-in chip on your device. Nevertheless, only one of the uploaded eSIM profiles can be active at one moment.
You can use the eSIM at the following devices:
Book your appointment in the nearest O2 Store and avoid waiting in line.
