Richardson Reviews
Rating 4.14 out of 5 351 reviews
Richardson has a quiet suburban feel while being surrounded by the city. It's within driving distance of major shopping including grocery, pharmacy, and clothing retail. There are really diverse restaurants and eateries on nearly every corner such as Ethiopian ,Indian, Italian, and Mediterranean, but there is also your usual places like Whataburger and Chic-Fil-A. The area is very safe, children ride their bikes outside, there's a beautiful tree lined walking trail that spans several city blocks, and it's vary rare that you encounter panhandlers. The thing I like most about Richardson, is the quiet. I've lived there five years now and I have yet to encounter anyone playing loud music, throwing wild parties, or causing any amount of raucous. There is an active police presence on the roads and you instantly feel a sense of security. I would highly recommend Richardson to anyone looking for a moderately priced, safe place to live and raise a family.
Excellent schools, both Plano ISD and Richardson ISD where students can thrive, experiencing anything from top-notch academics, fine arts, career and technical education, sports, and extra curricular activities. (30% of Richardson residents attend Plano schools.) Richardson is a friendly city that has everything and yet still has the small-town charm. Well run city management with a resident-friendly website and successful bond programs to maintain streets and infrastructure. There are plenty of parks and trails that are well maintained. The annual Wildflower Festival and Cottonwood Arts Festival are must-dos. There are many great restaurants in the city. A variety of the world's cultures thrive in the city and the population represents a great diversity of people. People move here and retire here, because it's a great place to live.
I reside in Richardson, TX as a UTD student. Richardson is a very quiet, safe suburb of the DFW area with significant diversity. Many businesses have headquarters or regional hubs residing in Richardson.
