Mountain View is a true gem in the Bay Area. As a travel therapist, I’ve lived in many places around California and Mountain View is my favorite— I would even settle down here! It’s one of the most walkable cities I’ve ever lived in, and people here are very relaxed. I feel like this city has the perfect balance of small-town tranquility with big-city amenities.
This city is relatively expensive to live in, with the lowest cost of rent available for small apartments being roughly $1800. However, the public school system, public transportation, and the overall safety of the city are extremely* good. Stores will often be relatively close to anywhere one would reside and it is a walkable city. As a woman, I feel extremely safe going for walks at night and taking public transport. It also holds top ranking, competitive high schools, which makes it a great place to raise a child, adding to safety as a factor.
The city of Mountain View is known to have a wide diversity of nice people, beautiful parks and sports courts, and great restaurants! The options for public transportation are very convenient and accessible to any kind of person. Housing options are very ideal and beneficial to medium-income families, as well as the good locations of school or daycare centers. In addition, for nightlife lovers, I would highly recommend this city, due to the diversity of people and cultures that you can find around, music and good dancers do not stay away. Those are many of the reasons that living here makes me feel very happy, either with my family or friends!
Since I arrived here, I have had an amazing time trying Asian food which, for my taste, could be the best in the area. For desserts and coffee, there are also many options to choose from French style to North American.
However, something that I'd change about this city is to light the streets or parks because to ensure more safety!
